The lodge is quaint and welcoming. The room was spacious for guests, luggage and offers areas to store clothing with drawers and hangers. Heating worked well and there was a ceiling fan. Bathroom and shower were spacious too. Offered much needed hot water since bathroom not receiving heat from bedroom. Heated bathroom floor was working in some spots but not the whole floor. Bedding was good but pillows felt like sacks of marbles. No elevator so you’ll be easily winded going upstairs with luggage given the elevation. Pricey restaurant with good but limited selection. Beautiful sunset views during dinner if in the right spot with one fireplace. Oh yeah, crying baby next door but never heard it until in the bathroom. This was why we kept bathroom door closed. Good for one night stay to pass through.

The historical nature of the place is the draw. Cute and quaint. Great food. Nice location. We would come again but in the summer to get away from the heat.

Lovely time!
From the drive up to walking in and around the hotel, we truly enjoyed our time there. We loved the history and the grounds. My 7 and 9 year old loved the tower. The view and the information on the walls was so interesting for us! Wish we would’ve known there was a hot tub so that we could’ve brought our swimsuits. Getting in the hot tub during the winter is always a fun memory. We definitely plan to go back soon!

5 stars all around. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Only one suggestion: improve water pressure in the shower along with the hardware of the shower heads. I couldn’t get the rain shower head to work at all and the handheld portion provided little output of water and difficult to remove and place back into the holster.

The Lodge is my favorite place to stay, probably anywhere. The grounds are well kept, rooms are beautiful, service is wonderful. The Lodge is a hidden treasure in the mountains! Make sure to ask the front desk for keys to the tower- it’s awesome!

During our stay at this place. There was no hot water at all. we reported this to the Front Desk and they apologized and they stated they would give a $30 credit which never happened . I called about three times after our stay to ask about the credit we never received. They always stated that we would see the credit in the next couple of days which never did happened. It is now January 2024 and still the credit was never received. I dont know how many people staying there that week were promised the credit and never received it.
