Our private, nature-drenched house is located between Auburn and Colfax CA is the perfect place to relax with the whole family. Enjoy the Hottub looking over the beautiful view of pine-covered hills, or dip in the private pool at your leisure. On the way to Ski resorts (less than 1 hour) and within proximity of conveniences, enjoy the privacy of nature while preserving easy access to all the things you need.

Our goal was to make a place that is easy for families with kids of all ages - we know what it's like to travel with your family. No need to run through the house, putting all the breakables up high - our house is kid-friendly! This is the best place for multigenerational family get-togethers or split the rental with other families and have a nature get-away.

Sitting on 5 acres, there is plenty of land to explore and engage in nature. The pool is the perfect place for the kids to splash and adults to relax. The house has two bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs and two bedrooms, one bathroom downstairs, and two separate kitchens. There are tons of nooks for kids to play and explore, both inside and out.

Wonderful family reunion spot
The house was beautiful and perfect for our family of 3 including our 7 year old, my husband’s sister and her husband and my husband’s parents. The pool and hot tub were awesome, plenty of room for all of us to have our own space. It was very kid friendly. The kitchen was fully equipped and perfect for our needs. The host was absolutely amazing in fulfilling all our requests. We would all love to come back and stay longer!

Amazing cliffside house with pool, views, and plenty of space
The house was great, the pool was great, the views were great! this place has truly no negatives. with a kitchen upstairs and down, its the perfect place to grill out and enjoy the pool. the pool has a spectacular waterfall and a nice "shallow end" for those who prefer to just sit lazily under an umbrella. the hot tub was nice too. everything is in great condition. Best of all was the housekeeper who graciously invited us into the downstairs as they finished upstairs despite us arriving a bit early. There were a few nice gifts waiting for us including a bottle of wine and some fresh watermelon. Remote setting but easy to get to. Would for sure stay here again.

Amazing getaway home
So nice we booked two extra nights! We had such a magical week on this beautiful property. Pete was a gracious host making our trip easy and seamless. The house was very clean, well cared for and stocked with everything we needed to feel comfortable in our home away from home. The location was also the perfect escape from city life. An oasis in the forest but close to nearby attractions and minutes from shopping and restaurants. However, we opted to make use of the large kitchen and cooked most our meals together at home so we could enjoy the scenic views from the deck. We definitely took advantage of the outdoor amenities this property had to offer. Each day started with a dip in the pool and ended with an evening star gazing in the large hot tub. Can’t gush enough about how much fun we had, only problem was we couldn’t stay in town any longer!

Great for a weekend getaway
Nice place overall, plenty of space and clean. Very quiet area and no neighbors right on top of the property so this place worked very well for a weekend getaway to decompress. We’re certainly adding this to our list of return places to visit.

Great location, spacious home. Spa on a starry night, relaxing and inspiring. Appreciated great communication with the host. The EV charger was a nice touch. Can easily accommodate a full family or even a couple of families. Would happily return with our full family, but certainly enjoyed the space with just the two of us.

WONDERFUL!!
We loved everything about being in this beautiful home! Believe it or not it's actually even more beautiful than the pictures show. The hosts were extremely generous, accommodating, and easy to interact with. So peaceful. An amazing view. .... and fun! What a fun pool! with a rock to jump off (and lots of floaty toys, though my group was using in Feb. so more of a cold plunge than soak float action). We will definitely stay here and again and are already talking about when we can make that happen. We were a group of women (40s, 50s, and one 60yr. old) and a few 16 yr. old daughters, and a few dogs. Lucky us! Highly recommend this home for anyone that values "nice."

Reunion slumber party (we are in our 70's)
We have known each other since grammar school. We started having "slumber parties" after our 20th class reunion. Most of us went to junior high together but others have know each other longer. There were 8 of us and room for all. The deck and pool were inviting, but it was an unusual 95 degrees in October and a bit hot for us. But we played games and ate lots of wonderful food together. One of the main stars of this trip were our Hosts. They were always there for me sometimes within minutes of when I emailed them. There was everything we could possibly need. We laughed for two days. I would say for family groups the bunks were perfect, but the top ones were challenging. Two of us found out the couches in the living room were comfortable enough to sleep on. The view was wonderful and we did spend some visiting time on the deck once the sun had set. There was a lot of extras in the fridge but we had brought what we needed and were ok with what we brought. One thing was there were pine needles and debris on the sidewalks (because there had been wind) and driveways and path to the pool. But my husband swept them all up for us. All in all we loved our stay there and would recommend it for all ages.

Perfect Multi-Family Getaway!
Our extended family (age range 71 to 10 plus 3 little chihuahuas) just returned from a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. The home was clean and spacious with a big, well stocked kitchen, and beautiful views from the living room and dining area. The family loved evenings on the large upper deck which had multiple seating areas, a hot tub, BBQ, and a gas fire ring. The grand-kids (and the big boys) loved the downstairs, which is actually a complete 2 BR unit that had its own patio, bathroom, kitchen, and den with a big screen TV. Very kid friendly with high chair, booster seats, toys, and some "small scale" furniture as well as regular couches and a giant bean bag lounger. We set up the downstairs for video games and spreading out a large "in progress" jigsaw puzzle on the downstairs dining table which kept the upstairs living area table free for meals and card games (and free from "light saber" sound effects). The biggest hit for everyone, and the most thoroughly used feature, was of course the pool! As with everything at this house, it also was thoughtfully stocked with necessities from pool noodles to sunscreen and swim diapers. Everyone was really happy and had a great time here, and we wouldn't hesitate to rent again!

Fourth of July Family Vacation
We were not sure what to expect and boy were we surprised! The pictures of this property do not do it justice. The house was beautiful and it had everything we needed and then some. The extra bonus of have a pool and two kitchens was fantastic. Our family was able to create wonderful memories here celebrating Fourth of July. Our hosts were great! We will definitely be back!

Everyone loved our stay!
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. It was pleasantly more remote that we expected, no neighbors to look down on the pool play. There were plenty of towels for both swimming and showers. We loved having so many beds, especially the bunk beds. The pool area was full of toys, noodles, and floats. We liked the whole house in general - so open. The stairwell is great for singing! So many places for our families to sit, inside and out. LOVED that!! The TV is great, especially for karaoke. The room was set up so that could both sit and stand for singing. The hosts even provided smores sticks! Everyone thanked me for finding and booking this home. If we come back to the area we hope to stay there again.

Family Vacation house - something for everyone!
This house was a perfect meeting spot for our 2 families. With 5 kids, ages ranging from 8 to 18 there was something for everyone and plenty of space to spread out. Pool, jacuzzi, lots of outdoor space to skateboard and play catch, two patio areas, 2 fire pits and bonus room downstairs with giant TV and couches for kids to hang out. The booking process was super simple and the hosts were super responsive to any time questions we had. The house was very well decorated and very clean. Super comfortable and had everything we needed. We also enjoyed exploring Yankee Jim’s Bridge with the kids that was suggested to us by the hosts. Great place to sit by the river and relax with the kids for the day. We definitely would recommend this place and look forward to coming back again.

We wish we stayed longer!
3 nights was not enough to enjoy all this property had to offer. The photos do not do this house justice. It's a beautiful, modern house with all the amenities you could want. The owners put a lot of thought into what guests might need. From having an EV charger, towels stocked by the pool, two kitchens and much more, this house was great for two families with kids plus grandparents. The hosts were super responsive to any questions. Another minor detail that many rentals overlook is having enough plates and cutlery. We were able to get through at least 3 meals for 6 adults and 4 kids, enough to fill up the dishwasher before needing to do dishes. Many rentals only give you enough for one meal so you're constantly doing dishes. The pool was stocked with all the floatation devices you'd ever need and we appreciated the umbrella in the pool for extra shade and comfy lounge chairs. This was such a great property for our extended family vacation. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

Wonderful family-friendly getaway in beautiful setting
My family and I just returned from a weekend spent here, and had such a wonderful stay. The house itself was spacious, beautifully-decorated, and so comfortable, with a layout that allowed everyone enough space to have their own area. Our party included my husband and me, my mother, and our three children ranging in ages from 1-7, and there was more than enough space for everyone. The house was so well set up, and had absolutely everything we could have needed during our stay. Particularly impressive was the attention paid to making it suitable for families traveling with children--there was absolutely everything we could have needed there (e.g., high chair/booster seat, child-friendly dishware, travel crib, etc.). We also did quite a bit of cooking during our stay and found the kitchen to be very well-stocked and, being adjoined to the dining and living rooms, was a wonderful space where everyone could relax together around mealtimes. In the mornings, we enjoyed the sunshine out on the deck, and the afternoons we spent swimming in the lovely pool. The setting is absolutely gorgeous and secluded, surrounded by trees. The location is ideal as well--while we did not make it up to Tahoe this time, we plan on returning and making time to include that in our next stay. We're looking forward to planning our next stay already!
