Greetings, Crowne Plaza IHG Hotels and Resorts, While I enjoyed my stay at this property, there were several issues that detracted from my overall experience. I chose this hotel based on its favorable reviews and higher rating compared to other properties in the area. Unfortunately, my expectations were not fully met. Upon check-in, the front desk attendant, Shana, assigned me the wrong room—a double bed instead of the king-sized bed I reserved. She also failed to mention the security hold on my card, which I discovered later when I noticed an unauthorized charge. Additionally, she struggled to locate my reservation under “Howell Junior,” despite me handing over my ID at check-in. Her oversight forced me to return to my car in 30-degree weather to retrieve additional confirmation, which was an inconvenience. The room itself was clean and offered a pleasant view from the 7th floor, as well as streaming features like Netflix. However, I did not feel the room was worth the $92 rate. It lacked key amenities such as a microwave (only available on the first floor), a shower cap, and basic toiletries typically provided by comparable hotels. Additionally, as an IHG Rewards member, I was disappointed not to receive complimentary water at check-in—a standard courtesy offered by other brands like Hilton and Marriott. The elevator was another inconvenience, taking 5–10 minutes for a single elevator to arrive, which is not acceptable for a property claiming to be close to 4 star.
