We offer a charming and cozy duplex apartment, picturesque, typically Alsatian, with an area of ​​80 m²:

-Bottom: a spacious living room / dining room of 35 m², a fully equipped and very functional American kitchen, an adjoining laundry room, an elegant and pleasant bathroom with toilet.

-Up: a second toilet and two rooms of character under the roof ridge with exposed beams and parquet floor. One is equipped with a large double bed (160 X 200), the other with a double bed (140 X 190) OR two single beds (70 X 190).

The apartment is ideal for 4 people, but it can accommodate up to 6 people, because the living room is equipped with a sofa bed in a double bed (140 X 190) and we can install -on request- in the one or the other room a cot (cot 60 X 120) and a fireside chair (60 X 180) for a child.

No pets allowed. (No exceptions will be made)
The stairs do not allow the reception of people with reduced mobility.

Detailed description of the rooms:
- A first bedroom with a large double bed 160 x 200, night tables, chest of drawers, wardrobe, a fan in summer.

- Another room with a double bed 140 X 190 OR CHOICE 2 single beds 70 x 190, chests-tables, wardrobe, shelves, stereo and all kinds of readings, a fan in summer.

- A spacious living room: The lounge area is equipped with a leather sofa convertible into a double bed of 140 x 190 with a quality mattress, a second sofa and two armchairs style around a coffee table. Further, another coffee table with a high-definition flat screen TV, a DVD player, an internet box with Wi-Fi. You will also find many board games for young and old. The dining area is equipped with a large oval table and 6 chairs with large backrest.

- A fully functional American kitchen fully equipped (dishes and utensils, fridge, oven, ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher (tablets provided), Nespresso coffee machine (capsule), coffee filter, kettle electric, toaster, raclette grill, pierrade)

- A utility room with cupboards, washing machine, iron and ironing board, freezer, vacuum cleaner, household products provided

- A bathroom with shower and corner bath, hairdryer, a toilet, towel warmer radiator.

- Another WC upstairs, between the 2 bedrooms.


This charming apartment is located in a typical Alsatian house, in the city center, in the heart of the historic center of Colmar, in a quiet pedestrian street but nevertheless and very accessible by car from the Rue des Augustins suite. On one side, you will have a view of Colmar cathedral and Alsatian roofs, on the other, on the courtyard of the old chancery of Colmar.

Coming out of Rue Schongauer, you will quickly be caught in the life that reigns downtown and can enjoy all the amenities: Everything is at hand: Many bakeries nearby, butchers, caterers, delicatessens, and especially a covered market (open from Tuesday to Sunday) in the old Halles of Colmar, close to the cottage, ideal for sourcing fresh produce (fruits and vegetables, meat, cold cuts, fishmongers) and where you can even find some takeaway meals, from the world's cuisine, a real treat and very practical! In the city center, you can go shopping in one of the 3 small supermarkets accessible on foot or by car. The city center is full of restaurants, cafes, bars, terraces for a drink and try pies flambées or other specialties of the region and feel like life in Colmar ...
The cottage is also located close to Little Venice, and is centrally located in relation to the 5 Christmas markets in the city of Colmar: All are less than 5 minutes walk from Schongauer Street!
Finally, it takes only 12 minutes to walk to the station through the beautiful park of the Champ de Mars. The city also has 7 museums, 2 cinemas, 2 indoor pools with spa area (sauna, steam room), 1 nautical base with sandy beach !! (reachable in 10 minutes by car)

This cozy duplex, located in a pedestrian area, is easily accessible and has plenty of parking nearby. We rent from April to the end of September a parking space at Parking Rapp, reachable in 2 minutes from the cottage, easy access by car, and adjacent to the city center.

Bed linen and towels are not included in the price, but are available to rent if you wish. You will find the rates in the "Rates" section.
Similarly, the end-of-stay cleaning is charged if you want this option.

Unforgettable apartment in Colmar center
30 feet to a Michelin restaurant, everything else is a flat under five minute walk.quiet. Great security and lighting, comprehensive amenities as summarized. Great kitchen and convenient parking offsite. Memorable and helpful hostess with great pride in a super property. Impossible to be more central in the historic quarter than this. Perfect for four persons but in a pinch it can work for 6. Just note that steps needed to get to the apt and inside between floors. Amazing!!

Ideal location for visiting Colmar
Easy walk to local sites, shops and restaurants. The apartment was quaint and located in a historic house. Stephanie was very helpful and attentive. We tried 4 of her 5 restaurant recommendations. Each one was an excellent dining experience. We had an excellent 8 day stay. The steep stairs would prevent this being a good selection for people with mobility issues. Clean and welcoming.

Stephanie was very helpful, and the apartment is perfectly situated to enjoy the sights of the town. Even with the warmer weather in July, the windows, shades, and fans kept the home cool and comfortable. We appreciated a spacious home base to relax in each evening. Though we didn’t do much cooking, the kitchen was well-equipped and the washing machine was a huge benefit to us. I would recommend this to anyone traveling to the Alsace Wine Route—just be aware of the stairs!

This is a very nice, clean and comfortable apartment located in the heart of lovely Colmar. You will find yourself immersed in a setting with many shops, cafes, restaurants, bakeries and wine shops just outside the front door. As vegetarians, it is often difficult to find variety in meals, so welcome the opportunity to be able to cook our own meals as we did in this apartment. There is a wonderful covered market in Colmar within very close walking distance, and we assembled many wonderful wonderful ingredients from which to prepare our meals. We also ate lunch at a local cafe, and had beautiful croissants and espresso at a nearby boulangerie each morning. From this base, we also tasted wine at a local wine maker, explored the village by day and night and enjoyed visiting Petit Venise. I would add that the apartment occupies the 3rd and 4th floor, if climbing steps is a concern. One other thing I should mention is that initially the rate for this apartment seemed very reasonable. And I have no problem with a cleaning fee, though this should be explained and included up front. However in all my years of travel to all types of accommodations, I have never been charged an additional fee for bed linens and towels. This charge popped up just the day or two prior to check in. So be aware that the cleaning fee and sheet/towel fee adds a substantial amount to the final bill. One other detail, there was no free parking.

Excellent location in Colmar
Colmar lived up to its billing. Great town with amazing sights in the town and surrounding area. This apartment was a great choice. Convenient location in the middle of the old part of town. It is clean and well furnished. Parking is pretty difficult in Colmar but Stephanie allowed us to keep our car at her house which is about a 7 min walk from the apartment.

Wonderful apartment in centre of Colmar
The property is situated in a quiet pedestrianised street in central Colmar within a very short walk to all attractions and amenities. The hosts Stephanie and Olivier went over and above to make us welcome including allowing us to park our car at their nearby property. The property itself was immaculately clean and extremely well equipped and warm in a cold November/ December period. The property is both traditional and homely and was perfect for two couples visiting the outstanding festive atmosphere of Colmar and the nearby Alsace Wine route. Colmar also has railway connections to Strasbourg and Basel. Highly recommended

We loved our stay at the apartment and will be happy to stay there again if our travels take us back to Colmar. Superbly located and walking distance to Petite Venise, minutes to many restaurants and cafes (a one star michelin is two houses away - will definitely try that next visit) and wine/beer bars. Spotlessly clean and well appointed with everything you need including a washing machine, tv with a few english channels, and a few essential kitchen items such as salt and pepper, sugar etc. Stephanie was great in her communications and we parked at her other home which was free! Highly recommend!

A great stay in Colmar. The apartment is an amazing location immersed in the scenery and activities of Colmar. It is a little difficult to arrive/depart with bags due to the very small street the apartment is on, but that is the nature of being right in the middle of downtown. Charmante vacance à Colmar
Très beau séjour rue Schongauer. Nous avons passé 7 jours a Colmar. Malgré la canicule, nous avons pleinement profité de l'appartement et surtout de sa localisation stratégique en plein centre historique. Proximité de tous les services, restaurants, marché public, boulangerie, etc. Même le stationnement pour la voiture au parking Rapp était à 5 minutes de marche seulement. L'appartement était charmant sur 2 niveaux, beaucoup d'escaliers pour s'y rendre cependant s'il y a des personnes à mobilité réduite, cuisine bien équipée, salle de bain très fonctionnelle, laveuse à linge mais pas de sécheuse. Salle d'eau pratique près des chambres, et 2 vrais lits doubles. Olivier et Stéphanie les propriétaires très disponibles et attentionnés, ils nous ont même fourni des ventilateurs additionnels très appréciés pour passer la canicule. Bref, nous recommandons vivement cette adresse pour bien profiter de la belle ville de Colmar.

We stayed here for 3 nights with our children (ages 12,10, 8) as part of a month-long adventure around France. Stephanie met us at the property and explained all about it and pointed out options for dinner and grocery stores on the map. She was so helpful and friendly and spoke perfect English! The apartment is basic but so are most places we stayed in France compared to American standards -- but the charm cannot be compared to anywhere in the states! We used the washing machine and it worked well. France won the World Cup while we were here and we loved walking around town during the celebrations. The apartment was comfortable, super well located, and very reasonably priced. I feel like it was the best value out of everywhere we stayed the entire month. Our kids' favorite ice cream place from the whole month was Isabelle in Colmar (and we ate a LOT of ice cream over the month so had lots of places to compare!). We ate at a good Italian place the first night and then at Le 3 the second night. Both were good. We walked to various places for croissants and coffee each morning for breakfast. The walk from the train station to the apartment was about 10-15 minutes. Stephanie communicated very well before we arrived and returned our security deposit very promptly when we left. You do have to walk luggage up several flights of stairs and bring your own linens (they are available for a fee) but this was very clearly communicated on the front end so was fine with us. This was an A+ rental experience and I would recommend to anyone!

A Great Place in Colmar
We stayed here for seven nights, and it was the perfect place for us. Perfectly clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a relaxing time. Central to everywhere we wanted to go in Colmar itself, but also to the buses and trains that took us on day trips out of town. The street was quiet and charming. The owner is very thoughtful and helpful. We would definitely choose this apartment again when we return to Colmar!

Old-world charm in the centre-ville of Colmar
We stayed in this flat for two days and enjoyed our stay. Stephanie was very helpful and welcoming. This is a large flat with practically all the amenities you would need for a vacation. It is located in downtown Colmar and is close to cafes, restaurants, shopping, and local attractions. The property is very nice, clean and has old-world charm to it. It's very quiet and secure but near everything that downtown Colmar has to offer. There are two bedroom able to sleep two people each plus a couch downstairs. Plenty of room for 2-6 people but verify occupancy with the property owners first. It has a large downstairs bathroom with toilet, sink, shower and a garden tub plus a powder room upstairs with a toilet and sink. For Americans, be mindful that light switches are much lower on the wall than we are accustomed to, basically at waist height. Colmar is a very lovely city and it's certainly worth the trip. I would recommend this property as it was as-advertised, clean and quiet. Stephanie and Olivier were super-sympa and very easy to work with!

Perfect apartment in the Colmar city center
We visited Colmar for Christmas market and this apartment was the perfect place to stay. On a quite street just a few short blocks from all of the markets. It is also an easy walk from all other places in the old city. The two bedroom apartment is very spacious and has all amenities you might need during your stay. I recommend it very highly for any visit to Colmar.

Very neat apartment close to tourist attractions
This spacious second floor self-catering apartment is in a narrow pedestrian street almost in the heart of the picturesque historic centre of Colmar. We were able to stop outside the apartment to unload our car, but soon warned to move on by a patrolling official. The only free parking area is located several blocks away but not well marked and very full on a Friday night. Owner Stéphanie pedalled over to let us in, seemed a bit reserved and formal (this was the only place we stayed where the owner asked for a signed lease agreement, 250 Euros security deposit, extra charge for linen, and expected all cleaning and vacuuming to be done before departure!) Apart from having to indulge the owner's cleaning fetish, the only other real negative was that we found the pillows quite hard and uncomfortable. Otherwise a perfect place to stay and enjoy the amazing and very popular attractions of Colmar.

Fantastic location!
We really enjoyed our stay. Perfect location, very charming and Stephanie was wonderful. She met us at the property, showed us around and left us with some great tips on where to go.
