Staff was friendly. But overall the hotel was (felt & looked) old - and not in the quaint cozy way (the lobby looked nice though). Room was quite warm even turning thermostat down to 61(!), I suspect because the vent was on the far corner of room, partially covered by desk. Pet peeve is when house keeping tries to clean room on checkout day (we only stayed 1 night) and had a knock on door just after 8:30am; this seems like an extremely easy thing to coordinate and skip those rooms until after checkout time. Overall the stay was fine, as long as you don’t mind the rundown vibe, but I wouldn’t rush to stay here again.

The hotel is historic and beautiful. We are natives of Colorado and have never been in this beautiful hotel. The breakfast in the antlers restaurant was excellent and the cost Was comparable to local restaurants. The only thing I didn't like was, the pool was cold. However my husband had no problem with the cool water. The pool area was extremely clean and inviting. We will stay here again.

Overall stay was excellent. Room clean, walkability to other venues was good and parking easy. Would like to have the ability to have snacks and such with vending machines being accessible for guests.

Hotel is dated - needs a facelift. Previous remodels have gutted the character - seems like they used a shoestring budget and Pinterest for the design choices.

Hotel with a great history.
It was in a good location, and the room had wonderful views of the city and mountains. The lobby and entrance were luxurious. It was a 5-star hotel in its day.
