This place was FANTASTIC! Close to Glacier National Park, great country setting, super clean, the most comfortable bed, great mountain views and awesome owners, plus they had 2 small dogs that gave me doggie fix, while missing mine at home. I would recommend this a 1000 times!

Caboose Stay
The Caboose is a really super sweet spot to stay if your planning on going to Glacier National Park. 15 miles from the west entrance, so very easy to get to. The host Dan and Amos (doggie) are very friendly. Amos loves to fetch and will show up with his ball at your door. We only had two minor issues. One, the directions need to be updated. And two, we like to cook our own meals, and unfortunately the Caboose doesnā€™t have the proper equipment, i.e., no grilling utensils, only one small frying pan, and no oven. However, I may have missed the no oven prior to booking. All in all, itā€™s a fantastic place, location was perfect. We just prefer to cook our meals. Thanks Dan and Holly

Great glacier vacation
It was just as fun to come home to our train as it was to see the sights at glacier. The kids loved it and the attention to detail made all the difference. They were great to communicate with and answered my questions in a timely matter.

Holly and Dan were excellent hosts. Enjoyed several conversations with them. Caboose was planned out so well. Enjoyed deck early evenings. Train light outside was a wonderful tough to the atmosphere. Wish we could have stayed longer. Cannot tell you how nice this stay was.

Wonderful and unique stay
Itā€™s hard to find something new to say about this property that hasnā€™t already been said by other reviewers. It is a wonderful and unique place to stay that was loved by all of the members of our family (but especially our 9 and 7 year old sons). The owners have done a tremendous job transforming the caboose into something that is truly cozy and comfortable to stay in. The one thing that did surprise me (in a good way) was the charming area the caboose is located in. There is plenty of space between the caboose and the nearest properties, providing lots of privacy and quiet. Really canā€™t say enough positive things about this place.

Fun, comfortable, scenic, and unique!
Weā€™ve had unique accommodations in the past, including tents, yurts, boats, and luxury hotels, but never a beautifully restored red caboose. The location of the caboose, resting on a section of track in the Flathead River valley, is scenic, and quiet. Inside and out, the caboose is wonderfully restored and decorated. The interior woodwork is beautiful, and creates a warm , cozy, and relaxing feel. And yet, one can imagine rattling down a track hooked to the back end of a train, headed to some exotic location. Oh, and yes, the property is clean and comfortable, has everything you might need, and the hosts, Dan and Holly, are great! We were delayed one day by a road closing blizzard, but Holly offered us an extra day, which we gladly accepted! Thank you Holly and Dan, for helping make our visit exceptional.
