decent beds, the smell of weed and vanilla was heavy. i thought it said complimentary breakfast and there isnt. staff was really nice, but the lack of onsite parking wasnt the best. luckly i got parking at the convention center.

You get what you pay for.
Took a quick trip with my daughter. We weren't going to be in the room much, just needed to sleep and get ready for an event. This hotel was definitely on par for its price point. Let me first say that the staff was friendly. No issues there. Upon arrival, the entire place smelled like a freshly smoked joint. The elevators and hallways were especially ripe. Our room for the first night was...strange. The TV "worked" (no guide or menus, but the channels changed), there were switches on the walls in weird places for odd placed lights, The A/C "worked" (the thermostat must've been off by 8-10 deg), and the toiletries were limited to a bar of soap. We ended up switching rooms the next day because of plumbing issues in the tub/shower. The second room was better. The A/C worked well, but the TV still had no functionality. Same sparseness with the toiletries, and maintenance was hammering away on the door across the hall. (He seemed to be fixing a very badly damaged strike plate/lock mechanism, not the most reassuring for the safety conscious) All in all, not the worst place to crash for a night, but most certainly not what I'm used to. My choice though, saved a buck or two...

I did not feel safe leaving our room. There was yelling and screaming all night and people hanging around the lobby that did not appear to be staying there. I would not stay here again. There also seemed to be a language barrier with front desk personnel.

Needed a place to stay overnight following a concert at Nationwide Arena. While this isn't the closest hotel to the arena, the other places are a little pricier and this is still only a short walk to the arena. Our room and the place in general was clean. Parking is an extra charge, which is mentioned in the property description, and the parking lot is across the street. What is not mentioned, though, is that the Red Roof parking fills up and there may be no parking available. To their credit, Red Roof didn't charge me for parking and directed me to a nearby convention center surface lot. To their discredit, Red Roof did not tell me that parking would be more than double the Red Roof parking rate and that there would be no adjustment made to my room rate to accommodate this. Is it a big deal? Not really. But, it would have been nice if Red Roof had gone that extra mile and covered the difference.
