Tim & Ashleigh the Tiny Cabins
Book both our cabins and get a taste for farm life in this stunning working sheep farm!
Tiny cabins Tim and Ashleigh are nestled amongst 500 hectares of stunning farm land. Sweeping views over valleys and hill sides, roaming sheep and plenty of wildlife!
They are both decked out with a queen size bed + 2 bunk beds for the kids. They furnished with a mini fridge, kitchenette, outdoor bbq, air conditioning, indoor shower and a composting toilet. Tim and Ashleigh are about 250m walk apart.
Our cabins are much more than a just a place to sleep and dream. It’s a tiny cabin that can surprisingly fit all your comforts for the perfect stay.
Fully equipped with maximum comfort in mind from a queen-sized bed & bedding (sheets & quilt), pillows and even reading lights, to an indoor kitchenette and an outdoor BBQ with all your essential cookware and a small fridge to make your favourite, wholesome meals.
We didn’t forget the generously sized bathroom with an indoor shower and an odourless composting toilet.
Final thoughtful touches were made, such as a great collection of games and books for you to enjoy your stay.
Our family cabins Tim and Ashleigh both feature a queen size bed by the main window and 2 single bunk beds in the main space. They each can sleep up to 4 people.
What to do?
Relaxing and taking in the sounds of Nature would be high on my list but you can also take in a bush walk and explore the land, cross the many brooks and enjoy the splendid vista. Make sure to wave at the sheep but most importantly, relax!
If you’re looking for something more to do, the town of Toodyay is only a short drive away. If you feel like going out on a quick day drive we can recommend the town of Northam or perhaps head west to Bindoon or even venture out all the way to New Norcia!
Parking is close to the cabin, but please stick to the parking area and designated tracks so we can keep the landscape looking beautiful.
Welcome to Tim and Ashleigh!
We often get some questions about how the cabin works, so we wanted to give you a quick guide to some of the main features of the cabin, as off-grid life can be quite different to life at home!
The Bathroom:
Our bathrooms are run using tank water and a water pump connected to the cabin. The water pump needs power to run, so you must be careful with your power usage, especially on overcast days! No power = no water.
Sometimes the hot water can take a few minutes to kick in. It can be helpful to run another hot tap at the same time if it's taking it's time to heat up, as this will further encourage the hot water heater to turn on.
The Kitchen:
Our fridge is small and runs on very low power - this means if it's empty, it doesn't work hard to keep itself cool. This is great as it ensures it isn't a drain on power while no one is using the cabin, but it also means that it might not feel cold when you first open it. Don't fret! Once it's full of your items, it will do a great job keeping things cool.
Power:
As we mentioned above, being careful with your power usage is super important. The biggest power drainer in our cabins is the air con, as one would expect! Whilst we have it there to use for when the heat is unbearable, we do strongly encourage you to use it very sparingly. If you run out of power, it can take between 5 - 7 hours for the power to be restored with sunlight.
Note that there is no wi-fi at our cabins. You're really off the grid, time to disconnect!
Sometimes remote, off-grid services don't run as perfectly as we'd like. If you experience issues with the cabin's services during your stay, reach out to us after check out so we can assist you with making it right.
