This hotel is in a great location for exploring Copenhagen. The staff were all friendly. The beds really comfortable, the rooms quiet and the breakfast was great.

Brilliant hotel
Fantastic hotel situated by the waterside and planetarium. Near the main train station and Metro and close to Tivoli Gardens too. Breakfast was superb and hotel is immaculate. Highly recommended.

Not the best, but not bad.
I'm surprised that this is listed as a four-star hotel; I can't say for sure if it's a typical four-star for Copenhagen, but I stayed in three-star hotels in Portugal this year that were significantly nicer. Not saying this was a bad hotel, but the quality is like a slightly more stylish Holiday Inn. The stay was fine, but there are things I wish I had known before choosing to stay here. PROS: - Breakfast felt pretty American-oriented but was pretty good and had decent variety for omnivores and vegetarians (not as great for vegans). The baked beans were excellent. Even on the busiest day it was easy to book a table. - Location is great. <10min walk to central station; 15ish to main tourist areas; 15ish walk to cool Vesterbro and Meat Packing districts with excellent non-touristy restaurants and shops. - Staff was friendly, we were able to check in early and renting bikes was easy. CONS: - The pillows are very small - half the size of a North American pillow. - The rooms are starting to show wear, and the shower and sink drain had a backup smell that could get quite strong at times. - The walls and floors are quite thin, and it's easy to hear everyone around you. When doors closed near our room, it shook our door and sounded like someone was trying to get in. - Be aware the picture of the cylindrical tower on the header of Scandic Copenhagen's Hotels.ca page is NOT the hotel. It's instead the '80s office tower-looking building that is in one of the smaller pictures.

My stay at the Scandic Copenhagen was excellent, the staff were helpful. The choice for breakfast was excellent. The only drawback was that there were no drawers in my room to put my underwear etc in, so I had to keep them in my suitcase.

The new rebuild is good. Room was excellent although staff appeared to miss the magic marker art put on the wall by some child. Excellent buffet. Staff at front desk differed in understanding their own facility. We asked early about luggage storage after checkout. The first person said they had this service and to come to front desk for it. The day we checked out we were directed to a pay by the hour basement locker area that was only accessible by two sets of stairs. No elevators. So, very painful time lugging the bags up and down stairs.

Family room was disappointing.
Had a family room. Photos on the website a little misleading as show the sofa bed closed. With it open, the room wasn’t a great size and ilttle space to move around. No storage aside from a few hangers. Pillows were tiny and gave no support or comfort.

I had a wonderful stay at the Scandic Copenhagen Hotel. Picked this one as it was the closest to Tivoli within an easy walk. I stayed in a family room that had everything we needed, comfortable bed and bedding, great shower. Breakfast is amazing you will love the great variety of hot and cold food and everything fresh, delicious and for all tastes. I will definitely recomment this hotel and would happily return.

Very good breakfast. A lot of option but you have to reserve the time slot. Room was very small. With sofa bed open, you can't walk in the room. You have to hop on the bed to go to the other side. A little far from center. 35 minutes walk to Nyhaven. Close to Tivoli garden. We were 4 persons & only one towel set was in the room. We went down to lobby to ask for more towels & the girl had a little attitude. We had to explain to her that each person needs a towel for her to give it to us.
