Casa Conti 1840 is a fantastic villa with a private heated pool (on request) in the village of Gastouri Corfu, just a few minutes from the Achilleon Palace of the Empress of Austria Elizabeth, mostly known as "Sisi".
The Villa is the recently renovated Mansion of the 'Conti Family' built in 1840. The current owner has spared no expense in making this a fully functional luxurious home with all the modern and high-standard facilities.
Casa Conti 1840 is an ideal property for a family or group of friends looking to spend a relaxing holiday close to Corfu Town and not far from all that Corfu Island offers.
Layout
The moment you enter the enclosed grounds of the Mansion, you are welcomed by a specious terrace with a lovely gazebo. This was explicitly installed by the new landlords, who also enjoy al fresco dining. This is a beautiful setting for some of the most amazing sunsets you can experience.
Walking down a few steps, you reach the property's highlight: the private heated pool, (which can be heated on request and at an extra charge of 25.00 euros per day), with a dining terrace for seven guests, an electric/charcoal barbecue, a fridge and an outside kitchen area. The pool dimensions are 4.00 x 8.00 metres with outdoor furniture, sun-loungers and plenty of director's chairs. The pool area boasts a separate shower room and WC. Guests will probably never leave this part of the house during the day.
The main house opens onto an open lounge with a comfortable sofa, an armchair, wide flat-screen TV and a decorative fireplace. A spacious dining table decorates the far end of the area, next to an impressive marble staircase leading up to the bedrooms.
A kitchen area is available on the same level and through an old stone entrance. A marble table dominates this place and makes this kitchen fully functional for most of the morning and lunch. The installed dishwasher is a blizz. A Nespresso coffee maker with capsules will welcome you and all the necessary utensils to prepare a meal for the family.
The nearest private parking is just around the corner. A mini-market/bakery and a small caffe are just a few steps away. The famous Band of Gastouri "Omonia" is just around the corner, with great historical interest and is part of the rich Corfiot Cultural Heritage.
The Villa is fully air-conditioned, including the lounge. It sleeps up to six (6) people in three (3) en-suite bedrooms. One (1) extra adult can also be accommodated in an open lounge at the upper level of the house.
