Villa Degli Dei with garden and pool, Corigliano d'Otranto, Italy

This unique property, set amongst olive, pine and citrus trees, makes the perfect holiday destination for friends or families who want to enjoy this beautiful part of Italy. Protected by pale stone walls, with its own swimming pool, the villa can accommodate up to 21 people and consists of several separate apartments and suites, allowing guests to holiday together but also keep a measure of independence.

There are 3 houses, built around a central terrace. All of these have French windows that open out onto the communal terrace. The terrace is partly shaded and has several tables and chairs, as well as a BBQ and stone sink. Close to the terrace is an outdoor shower and also a laundry room

“Antea” consists of a living room with two sofas and a flat-screen TV. The separate kitchen is equipped with a cooker hob, oven, fridge/freezer and a coffee machine. The villa has 2 double bedrooms. It is possible to add a single bed in one of the rooms. There is also a bathroom with a shower, basin, bidet and WC. Antea can sleep up to 5 people.

On the other side of the central terrace, there is a larger building which has been divided up into 3 apartments.

\"Dafne\" has an open-plan living room furnished with a sofa, dining table and chairs. The open kitchen is equipped with a cooker hob, oven, sofa bed, dining table and chairs. An adjacent hallway leads to the 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and one with 2 single beds, which can be joined into a double) and to the bathroom, which has a shower, basin, bidet and WC. In total, Dafne has a maximum of 7 beds.

Next door is “Calipso”. The entrance leads straight into the living room/kitchen (there is a single sofa bed). The double bedroom and separate bathroom lead off this main living area. Calipso sleeps up to 3 people.

Finally, the two-room apartment \"Euterpe\" has a double bedroom, an equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a shower, basin, bidet and WC. Euterpe can sleep 2 people.

In a separate building, slightly back from the central terrace, there is a studio apartment, with a double bed, kitchenette and bathroom. There is also a separate bedroom with 2 single beds (which can be joined) and a bathroom.

In total, the villa has 9 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and 5 kitchens, with 21 beds and possible cots on request.

The villa’s walled gardens include a swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers where guests can relax after a refreshing swim.

The property managers live on the estate and take care of the swimming pool and gardens. They are very helpful and can give local information.

Location
In the heart of glorious countryside just 20 minutes from the Ionian coast, the villa is in an ideal position to explore Salento. The property is on the outskirts of Corigliano D\'Otranto, a historic town which includes an imposing castle, stunning central streets and squares, and many excellent restaurants. The town’s market takes place every Tuesday morning. Here you can find the best local ingredients to cook at home.

The popular port of Otranto (25 minutes) has been inhabited for millennia. It has some lovely beaches. The town centre offers a taste of “La dolce vita” with a range of restaurants, cafés and ice cream parlours.

The city of Lecce (25 minutes), the “Florence of the South”, is famous for its wonderful Baroque architecture as well as its Roman ruins. It is a jewel of a city and well worth a visit. Not only for its long history but also for its excellent food and good shopping.

The closest airport is at Brindisi - just 1 hour away by car. Please note that the pool is open from the 1st of May 2024 to the 30th of October 2024
