Got in after a late flight. The person who checked in was very friendly. Our room was spacious but could use a lot of improvement. The carpet was quite filthy, and the toilet flush sounded the horn of Gondor and went on for 10 minutes until my husband fiddled with it. Half of the outlets didn’t work. In the morning when my husband went to grab the shuttle to the airport, it didn’t show up. Poor communication from front line staff regarding shuttle whereabouts and timing ensued and my he wound up walking to the airport instead after waiting for 30-40 minutes. Just an “ok” place to stay if absolutely needed after a late flight. Also the hairdryer is a “hold down the button the entire time” dryer, if that matters to anyone. I guess just that combined with the other issues are not what I’d expect for a 4-star hotel.

Three Strikes
Uopn arrival late evening noticed tv volume not working. Waiting for person to check and needed to pack up again and move to new room in morning. Next night after arriving late again the keys didn't work so had to get new one at desk. Next 2 mornings around 6:30/7 the fire alarm goes off and is very annoying. Wife thought we need to evacuate. Desk person said from hot shower in another room. Never heard of such an excuse.

This airport hotel has a captive audience- it’s the only hotel near to the Cork Airport. That said, the property is much nicer than it has to be. What I mean to say is that this is a luxury hotel experience right by the airport at reasonable, non-big city pricing. . The room was huge, the bed comfortable, the bathroom clean and amply stocked with towels and amenities. The carpet had just been replaced in my room (I think- it looked and smelled brand new), and the room looked like one from a much more costly hotel option. The lobby and hotel restaurant are attractive (don’t miss the funky futuristic lobby bathrooms- right out of The Jetsons!). We had drinks and dinner in the restaurant, and while not inexpensive, the food and beverage quality was superb. Overall, I’d stay here if I were returning to Cork as a primary hotel- it’s close to the city, and taxis are abundant.

There was no mini fridge in the room and they weren’t going to provide one even though one of the workers specifically told us that if we asked one would be provided. The cabinet in the room was old and wood was chipping off. Only pro was close to airport for early flight. Restaurant wasn’t anything special.

I wish I had a longer stay. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Perfect if you have an early flight in the morning. The staff was very friendly and hospitable as well.
