Beautiful Waterfront Home With Majestic Views

Our home is nestled on 2 very private acres of beachfront property at the end of Seaford Rd. If you kayak or fish this place is heaven. You can launch your trips right from our private beach. There are at least 6 species edible fish in the cove in front of the house. The views are breathtaking. We are in a quiet corner of cortes so If you want privacy and nature you found it.The house is in amazing condition. There are fruit trees and wild berries all over the place. Enjoy!

vrbo was not entirely accurate
The hot tub was cold and after talking with the owner he said the hot tub should not be used as the water has not been cleaned....the hot tub on the deck was one of the attractions. There were mice in the house and we could hear them scratching in the walls. we found mice droppings in the cutlery drawer, and at night we saw the mouse....came out at night....however...the view was exceptional.. we saw porpouis at night was all nice. except for the cleanliness and hotbut...

Beautiful Secluded Cabin On The Ocean
We greatly enjoyed our trip to the cabin. The hot tub on the deck was fantastic. Chris was very helpful with the questions we had. Love the layout of the cabin and the master bedroom is comfortable and has an ensuite. The internet was good enough for me to work remotely. The view is priceless.

Classic Cortes property with simple but comfortable furnishings. The small cottage is situated on a rustic oceanfront lot, gorgeous view to the east. Lovely cedar hot tub. Housekeeping and property maintenance a bit casual.

Amazing view
We really enjoyed the cabin, view, and cedar hotub. The location was cool on the east side of the island with the beach only steps away and private. Plenty of fruit trees to enjoy which also attracted lots of deer to the yard which were fun to watch on a rainy day. We also really enjoyed connecting to the stereo as the speakers sounded fantastic!

Great location, beautiful house. Private.
Overall an amazing experience. Beautiful beach right out the house. The view from the windows to die for. When the tide goes out, there is even more sea life to explore by foot. However, cookware and kitchen utensils were dirty. Not a big deal. Fire place was a nice feature, really adds to the experience. The owner was very communicative. Would definitely recommend!

Cortes Guys Trip
Property was well situated between Cortes Bay and Squirrel Cove, appropriate for small boat launching. Spectacular view out to Desolation Sound. Rocky beach but still good for swimming. House was clean and plenty of room for all of us.

Perfect Location
Fantastic location - right on the water with views of Desolation Sound, and the seals swimming in the cove. Kids loved the beachcombing right at our doorstep and the daily visits from the deer. Perfect getaway from the city noise and lights.

You won't want to leave
Perfect place to hang out, breathtaking views, beach front, quiet. We spent 4 nights, brought our groceries, bikes, (make sure you have granny gears), and Misty Isle Kayak rentals delivered kayaks, what more could you want? We recommend you pick up a Cortes Island map at Quadra ferry terminal, great resource for roads and all the amazing hiking trails. The Co-op and grocery store have essentials you may have forgotten. Just beyond the co-op there is a stand with home made jams, fresh baked good, (limited supply, go around 10:30 am) Chris is quick to respond to questions, even took the time to let us know a neighbour had spotted some whales in the area. It has everything you need. Cute little trail along the creek, If you like kayaking there is a crossing (~45 min) to Refuge cove marina, (Pub, restaurant and store), great destination paddle for lunch, happy hr or dinner, (we went in the evening, returning during sunset, amazing). Check in/out was seamless.

CORTES ISLAND WORKING HOLIDAY
Rental was for a 5 man crew. They very much liked the cottage but unfortunately due to working 8-10 hrs everyday did not get to enjoy it fully. Crew advised it was clean and comfortable and very scenic. All will keep in mind for a family rental in future. Thanks, Ruth

Comfy and calm on a wild island
Stunning place in a prime location. A very spacious modern house with a view that looks right out onto the ocean and mountains in the distance. The area feels very secluded and private, with shore acess a minute away. We visited in the winter and the summer must be even more fantastic. We do recommend reaching out to host preemptively as we did arrive in the area and hadn't yet been given any directions or information as per access to the house.

Magical
A private paradise ! The home is very clean and comfortable and the kitchen is well supplied with everything you need for cooking ( and coffee !) The view is incredible , we saw all sorts of birds , bees , butterflies , deer, fish , starfish , bald eagles and even a whale ! It is very quiet and peaceful . The owner is attentive to any questions or concerns. Amazing !!!! We would return without hesitation.
