A variety of options for breakfast. Nice playground for kids. Rec room has board games, foosball, and pool table (bring quarters). I had a great night's sleep too!

Great locations to visit several places nearby (Mesa Verde, Ouray, Telluride, Monument Valley), always easy to find parking, by the road but quiet, bigger room than a typical hotel room, great value overall. Minor issues: The AC was loud, so we had to turn it off for the night and I wish breakfast had some warm items like eggs or a waffle machine, but with toasters it was still a great breakfast. I highly recommend it!

Step back in time
This is a gem of a motel. Everything is clean and taken care of and the retro theme is fun. Front desk was friendly and helpful. We prefer to stay here when we are in Cortez.

This is a very nice motel. It does show it's age a bit, but that just adds a little more character to a nice overnight stay. King size bed was firm and very comfortable, great shower, and a good continental breakfast.

Budget friendly retro motel
We stayed here because I love retro motels and this looked like a blast from the past. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and we liked that alot of fluffy towels were provided. There's also a nice sized fridge and microwave in the room. Our room was decorated with Happy Days posters, but that's the only "retro" thing about the room. The decor was the ugly stuff from the 80s and needs to be upgraded. We were happy they had a crib available for our daughter at no charge. We didn't hear our neighbors or any road noise. There's a little grassy outdoor area with some tables, a chess set and an Elvis mannequin on a bench. The breakfast was decent with pastries, cereal, fruit, frozen burritos (not great), and possibly homemade tamales which were really tasty. Overall a good place to stay for around $100.

Awesome stay in Cortez!
Amazing stay- super clean, staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, breakfast was yum with a variety of options. My bed was so comfortable and the room stayed very cool, they even had it chilled down for me so I could go right to sleep!

Stopped with my family and was a stepped back into time. Was able to show my kids a pay phone that actually worked. Rooms were themed with added something different than the everyday modern hotel room.

When i booked this hotel, I was a bit worried. We were pleasantly surprised. Loved this place. Our room was huge, the property was cute and had several common areas and although next to the street, very quiet. They are outdoor chair for each room which are great to relax in after a day in the sun. Breakfast was simple but did the job. Love the theme.. not over the top. Even got a pic with Elvis.
