About this property

Rainbow House II On The Lake: Kayak, Firepit, Swim or Fish

Welcome to Rainbow House II! We are completely brand new and ready to make your stay extra special. Sleeps 6-8 (with Courdoroy’s Queen see link*); enjoy panoramic views of the water or stroll down the property underneath towering pecan trees to one of our two private swimming and fishing docks. Fish, swim, or kayak right from the property! Breakfast or lunch can be delivered right to your door from several great local restaurants or our family's own local coffee shop, Kynda Coffee!

The space
Enjoy the incredible and varied wildlife that loves to call this area home - from watching whitetailed deer trot across the fields in the slanting evening sun to hearing the gobble of wild turkeys, spotting pelicans landing on the various islands or seeing blue and white herons dipping down to fish while Canadian geese glide by. You may even receive a visit by our resident white duck, usually spotted on the lake (that our kids promptly named 'Professor Quackinton'), who loves affection and dried fruits and nuts or bread out of your hand, spot our adorable armadillo family waddling by in the early morning, or just lay out a blanket and watch the incredible stars at night! You can always find some fun and peace here at Rainbow House II.

Guest access
You can access the entire two acres and walk right down to the water and enjoy both the fishing boathouse and the swim dock during your stay. We live on the property in the main house, but will keep to ourselves and practice social distancing, and/or help with any needs that come up.

Guests can also enjoy kayaking right from the boathouse or swim dock-located right on the property; just unlock the yellow boathouse roof doors and two kayaks are inside, complete with life jackets (4 adult, 2 kid’s) and paddles.

Also available are two lake floats with mesh bottoms, handles and cup holders. Rope is available to tie off to dock for easy floating.

Other things to note
Generally, parking for the guest house is on the left, owners to the right, under the breezeway, but if any other parking accommodations are needed, just let us know and we will work with you if you require extra parking or have ATVs you need parked as well.

FYI: There is a telephone pole lurking at the end of the driveway; please be careful backing out-it seems to jump out and gets us too as we’re backing out on occasion!

Extra Queen sheets and comforter available in main bedroom closet-super fun and comfortable for kids or adults!

For the Nespresso Inissia Coffee Machine-

Demo video:
https://youtu.be/mGBLzwMZZl0

For used pods, just empty the small hopper in the front of the machine and place used pods in black Nespresso Recycling Bag located in third drawer down to the right of the sink. We’ll send it off once it reaches the fill line for recycling. How cool is that?👍🏼

Check out: start washer load of sheets, start dishwasher load and put trash into green lid bins around back of guesthouse.

Great place to stay!!
Excellent property! We loved the view, the wildlife and accessible to all the things we planned for the trip. The owners are on property, but out of sight. My only comment are some of the bed linens were not fresh (popcorn kernels in bed, make up on comforter). Other than that, perfect!!

Beautiful, Quiet, and Relaxing
The property is exceptional. Everything is new and fresh, and the surroundings are super quiet. We enjoyed the chaise lounges on the water’s edge as well as the outdoor table and chairs on the patio. It had rained our first night there so the current in the water was a little too rough to do any kayaking but we still enjoyed being near the water. You have everything you need inside the property and the hosts are super nice people who are very responsive. We would stay there again.

The only comment I have is that two showers would of been more accommodating for all. Otherwise super. I’d like to come back again. Thanks again. Rey Salazar

Relaxing country getaway
Our family of five thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. We had plenty of room, we enjoyed watching deer, along with various birds and geese. We caught a good mess of fish and paddled around in the kayaks offered. The hosts communicated with us when we had questions. We had a wonderful time!

Spring Break Getaway
We brought our teenagers for a relaxing Spring Break and some off-road adventure at a nearby park. They enjoyed the kayaks, fishing off the concrete dock, and feeding the deer apples in the evenings. Our host, Erik, was welcoming, friendly, and helpful when needed (there was a Wi-Fi issue at first, which was quickly taken care of). The linens were very clean and fresh with extras in the master. Our son slept on the convertible beanbag mattress and said it was comfy and easy to put back together due to the link on the VRBO listing-Thanks! The only suggestions I would have would be that a welcome note would have been helpful with a list of favorite restaurants, as one of the best (and friendliest!) breakfasts we had was just past the entrance to the subdivision and to also possibly stress that there is only a tub in the master, no shower. It was obvious in the photos and description, but we didn’t take note. It was a little wild taking turns showering after our off-road adventure! We did enjoy our stay very much and would recommend the listing to others.

Amazing Stay!
Loved this stay so much! Its such a beautiful property, also loved that you had access to fishing, kayaks, we really enjoyed most of our stay out on the porch because the weather was beautiful. We usually make two trips to Marble Falls during the month of October (husband is a bow hunter and we have a lease there) and we have tried to stay at different places every time, this however has been our favorite stay so far. Our kids also LOVED seeing all the wild life, SO many deer and one night we even watched a fox for about 20 minutes. Definitely will be an option for our stay for next year! *Also, I wish I could give more then 5 stars to the property owner, there is a warning on the info portion of the stay that notes there is a pole that will jump out in front of you, my brother in law trying to avoid the pole in the dark accidently got his car stuck in the ditch. The owner was super nice about the situation and even offered to help pull the car out with his vehicle. 10/10 on being helpful and understanding.
