Relaxing, vacation! for 1 or 11 w/fire pit on the river!

5 min from Covington, 40 minutes from New Orleans, 15 minutes from tubing excursions, zoo's and 30 from swamp tours. As you pass over the bridge and meander down the winding drive you let your cares go. The property is healing grounds for most. The vivid forest surrounds you and your relaxation begins as you look into our gardens of gardenias, azaleas, camellias, large magnolia trees and fruit trees. Our private beach and swimming hole is just a hop, skip and jump away. Grilling is our favorite activity while your nestled in the trees watching the sunset. Coffee time is magnificent on the front porch while listening to the birds and watching the squirrels scurry thru the trees. Whether you're here to hike, read a book or family time you will enjoy all the amenities. The kitchen is a great area if you love cooking. Our 2 burner stove with prep sink is so nice while someone else is hovering over the stove cooking a feast. There is also a stocked drawer of spices for every need. The spacious bathrooms and comfy beds make for a nice stay and restful sleep. If you would like to host a small event please inquire by message. You are sure to enjoy.

In town for a wedding
The cabin is located near the back of the property. You can’t see it from road. It’s a gem of cabin. Might feel a little sketchy (per my daughter) driving down driveway, but I assure it is NOT! Cabin was clean and spacious. I definitely see staying a weekend here to enjoy the creek area. The sand was a bit aggravating as we were attending formal events, but nothing a little wet cloth didn’t fix. Great stay!

Property was clean and relaxing! Pictures matched description and was large enough for all of our guests; 8 adults and 3 children. Communication with the host was quick and efficient. Located on a secluded piece of property and easy to get to.

Wedding weekend

Overall the house was pretty nice. I do feel new mattresses are necessary. Both beds sunk in the middle. Also rails are needed for top bunks. My grandchildren all slept on bottom for fear of falling out. Thank you for a wonderful stay

This property was everything we imagined it to be.. and then some! You had privacy. You had the best mattresses ever. The AC was phenomenal even though it was like 100 degrees outside. The kids had a blast at the ponds and the creek. We had zero complaints. We’re already hoping for another trip!

Disappointing
On first glance, this rental appears to be “nice.” However, that wasn’t our experience. Random spiders and dead mosquitos on the dinnerware. Ants in the kitchen sink. Long and short hairs all over the bedroom sheets. In the back bathroom, the tub had black mildew around the drain and on the shower curtain, along with what appeared to be the tub coming up that was just painted over. Outside, the surrounding area has some abandoned houses and an occupied camper right next to the cabin. The camper can see into the cabin through the back door and one of the bedrooms. The swimming hole had brown stagnant water, lots of bugs, and a garbage can full of cans, bottles, and dirty diapers. Walking around the property, we came across toilets, tires, broken glass, etc. Lack of outdoor lighting made it very dark at night; you would need to bring a flashlight to walk your dog. The biggest frustration was the owner ignoring my many messages after we arrived and left. She had our money and obviously didn’t care that we were too uncomfortable to stay the night; I’ve waited a full week for a response but have heard nothing back. This has been the only negative experience we’ve had traveling.

Secluded very nice
Everything was clean. Very beautiful home. There was 11 of us and we all fit perfectly. The only thing was the listing stated there was 4 bedrooms but there are only 3 bedrooms, 2 baths with a restroom downstairs. 2 of the rooms have queen size beds, the other room has two twin bunk beds. So a total of 4 twin size beds. Then the sectional in the living room pulls out into a bed, with someone being able to sleep on the other side of sectional. The bed sizes and total of beds are listed. Just have to read more carefully. Loved how it was secluded and away from everything. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend staying here. Will be returning in the near future. Thank you!

Our family loved the location as it was secluded! There was plenty of room for our family of 12. Loved the large island in the kitchen. Sleeper sofa was comfortable. There were 2 cats that lived there, we fed them morning and night. Some in our family do not like cats, which was a bit of a problem. If allergic to cats, would not recommend as they are let in the house some (not by us but previous guests). Teenagers would be ok on top bunk, but not younger ones. Bathrooms needed additional cleaning. Take some Off or citronella as mosquitoes are plenty. Owner responded very quickly to needs and questions. Wifi was great. Would stay again because of size and location.

The home was well appointed and met all of our needs. We stayed for 4 day’s visiting family and found the home clean, comfortable and tucked away for quiet evenings. The listing properly represented the home and we will definitely be staying here again when we are in town.

We had a nice time . It was perfect with the kids lots to walk around and explore. Very secluded, which we loved . The house was awesome! Pictures didn’t do it justice. Bed were really comfortable also !
