The El Cozumeleno is our favorite resort on the island of Cozumel. We have gone there six times now we like to staff the food is authentic Mexican the water is crystal clear and the beach is the best. The price is very good. It is a very quiet place on the very north end of the island no tourist, traffic, and very good location.

The resort is at the convenient location, 10 min from the airport and the city. I loved it's unique architecture and the beach view from every room. The resort is right on the beach. The staff keep the grounds so clean. There was a seaweed on the beach when we arrived. It cleared out in two days so we were able to enjoy beautiful clear water. The water temperature was perfect for swimming. We had everything we were looking for; beautiful clear water for swimming, a beach and the pool area with enough beach chairs to sit, relax or sunbathe, clean room and comfortable beds, friendly people and enough food options to choose from. I would definitely come back.

My husband and I stayed a week in early December 2024. We were impressed at how nice the room was. The staff is beyond excellent. Very friendly and willing to help with anything we needed. The grounds were top notch, staff were always cleaning the pool and areas. We ate twice at the main restaurant and the food was really good. Other times we ate at the buffet which had many choices of items to choose from. I'd recommend this hotel highly to anyone. The only regret I have is the limited beach area, but in Cozumel no beaches are perfect.

The snorkling and the staff were amazing. The food was good not great. The buffet and order food items were better than the restaurant. The lack of a mini fridge and limited room service especially with no house phone was very disappointing. Overall the resort is in decline compared to previous times I have stayed there.

Beautiful view! Will not stay at this resort again our first room had a moldy couch and when we complained they brought us a blanket to lay on it. We asked for different room and had to pay additional $180 to get a new room. The water to the room was shut off during the night with no warning, so you could not use shower, flush toilet or even wash hands! None of The jacuzzi were not in working order. The food was bland and drinks watered down

No estoy nada satisfecha
Nada satisfecha, el cuarto, olía a muchísima humedad, las instalaciones y áreas muy descuidadas, , muchos detalles que podrían estar mejor, ya que el hotel es bonito, pero descuidado . Las tostadas de marisco, apenas y tenían mariscos, no encuentras al menos un ceviche de pescado o camarón se supone que estás en el mar un guacamole ,una simple ensalada ni eso, la pizza horrible,(hawaiana). del personal la mayoría bien pero destacando al mesero Pedro , que nos atendió excelente a la hora del almuerzo . A las 11 nos dijeron que era el check out, nos entregan 3:30 la habitación y a las 11 am ya casi te corren del hotel, una recepcionista muy grosera y nada amable , ni siquiera nos quiso guardar la maleta,mientras nos íbamos del hotel para disfrutar un poco más, nos dijo que la dejáramos ahí en el lobby( botada) , según por qué donde se guardaban las maletas estaba lleno. Los cocteles muy malos.

We really enjoyed the stay! A couple of notes: this property is not a super fancy luxury resort.. some elements are outdated. You can see it has been around a while, but we thought this added to the charm. Besides, it had the best all inclusive resort food we have ever had. (We would totally go for better food over better facilities) The beach was kind of rocky, which I understand is common for Cozumel. That being said, the sea wall and docks meant that the water was super calm and super clear! It was definitely clearer than the beaches even just on the other sides of the docks. We did some of the best in resort snorkeling I have ever done. The resort is technically close enough to walk to town, but it is a bit of a trek. We took about 45 minutes to get to town— and we are fast walkers. We loved the different pools and that each area had a different vibe. Very nice!

I have stayed here 4 times in the last 3 years. I come back primarily b/c of the staff. Always welcoming; always friendly. There is nothing wrong with the food but it is not spectacular. The room has shower heads that are not always consistent but b/c of the staff, I can overlook this kind of stuff. My room is always clean as is the facility. The property location makes it easy to get to activities.

There was nothing that we liked about the property, let’s say food was ok. Things we didn’t like: Air conditioning insufficient, Mildew/Mold on sofa in room, door to adjacent room didnt lock (4 screws were put into door to keep it closed), mildew in bathroom, Pool consistently (3days) cloudy/murky, Jacuzzi hot tub had BROWN WATER & one night was stinking of a bad odor, beach area eroded. We had a total of 10 family/friends - 2 checked out to a different hotel 1st night, 2 went home a day earlier because they couldn’t take it anymore.
