The Chapel is set on a magnificent rural property. it is the sister to Crackenback 1884 which was the first settled cottage in the Crackenback Valley.
Since then it has been a chapel and a chicken coup, a family residence and is now a cosy home away from home for guests looking for a magical mountain escape.
The Chapel has some memorable features which includes a skylight in the shower (An experience in itself) and has been updated with all of life's modern conveniences.
There is a stunning wood fireplace (Please note that firewood is provided during Winter (Long weekend to long weekend). Additional costs of $25 per night for the use of the fireplace outside of Winter months). There is also reverse cycle airconditioning in the Chapel If you do not want to use the fire.
The Chapel is close to Thredbo, access to Perisher is by the ski tube 9 km up the road, the Thredbo River for trout fishing and swimming in the summer, as well as the Thredbo Valley Trail for mountain bike riding, you can also use the Alpine way for road riding. Your mountain holiday passion is close by. If you need a quiet break then you can relax and enjoy the stunning rural outlook down the valley from your patio. Or maybe just curl up with a book and immerse yourself in the serenity and romanticism that is The Chapel.
Finally, we have stocked the chapel with a few simple kitchen supplies and breakfast supplies for your first early morning. Life should be about the simple things!
If you would like to use the fire place between the end of October and the ANZAC weekend there will be either a $100 cleaning fee (If you supply your own wood) or a $75 per night fee if we are to supply the wood.
