Average property. Some maintenance issues but nothing major.Stairs to the 2nd floor are a nuciance and can be unsafe in the dark - they're painted black and there are no lines or indicators to show the steps. Not safe in the dark. A little noisy since the highway is adjacent.

The rooms had everything you need although tight for space. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. Convenient to take our bikes to fairy springs waterfall, some really nice bike trails and walking trails

Staff was extremely kind. Place has more of an old motel vibe and not in a cute vintage way. We had hoped to swim before check out with our daughter and booked this hotel for the pool access as the weather was unpredictable but found out upon arrival (late at night) that the pool opens at 2, checkout is at 11. Super odd. Free breakfast was pretty sad. Definitely would not stay here again, even for a night as the price was comparable to other nicer hotels. Spend a little more for a better hotel experience.

I had the privilege of talking to the owner and the manager. They were friendly and open to suggestions. With regard to Fernie British Columbia finding a good hotel at a reasonable price is a challenge. This hotel for people who care about their budget is an excellent option. The owner has invested in the comfort of his guests such as new beds. The floors were clean and an excellent condition. The fact that there's no carpet in the units can mean a little bit noisier if you are on the bottom floor. But if you want quiet room the top floor is excellent. Our state was quiet and relaxing comfortable and we got a good night's rest which I believe is the best goal.
