The Barn at Haden is a custom well appointed finished 2 bedroom, 1 full bath space elevated above a detached 3 car garage with a large outdoor private deck to enjoy Blue Ridge Mountain views. It features a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with high end finishes. Whether staying for a night or for the weekend, it is an experience to enjoy the easy living Crozet has to offer. Walkable/bikeable to downtown Crozet, 2 miles to King Family Vineyard & Chiles Orchard and 15 minutes from Charlottesville.
Whether visiting family or friends in the area, attending a wedding or event or just getting away for a great experience you'll find your happy place at The Barn at Haden. If you enjoy staying in a place that has all the conveniences of your own home, that's how we designed the space. It features, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, stove/oven, farmhouse sink, full size refrigerator and quartzite countertops. The oversized island will surely be the hangout spot in the space. A full size dining table is offered for meals. The family room offers a large HDTV. There's a laundry room with washer and dryer and both bedrooms have their own closets with hangers. The 2nd bedroom can be created by closing the two 4' barn doors and pulling down the full size murphy bed. If you are a guest that only needs one bed, then the barn doors remain open for an additional sitting room to retreat to. There's an abundance of natural light thru every window but the lights you do need to turn on are powered by solar energy in the home. There is a separate exterior staircase that leads to an oversized elevated deck for privacy.

We are equipped for children! The space includes a pack n' play (bring your own crib sheet), infant bathing tub, step stool for the bathroom sink and a small basket of toys/books to keep small children entertained. There is also a full size playground within walking distance down the street in the Old Trail Neighborhood.

Downtown Crozet is less than 1/2 mile (walkable with sidewalks the entire way) with many options for food and activities to choose from. Chiles Orchard is 3 miles away and offers seasonal picking of strawberries, blueberries, peaches, apples and pumpkins. Please ask us for any recommendations for places to visit nearby that you might have in mind!

Dawn and Damond have done an amazing job of making their place truly feel like home. This was one of the most comfortable and well designed properties we have ever rented. It was also so clean and well stocked with everything you could need for a home. The location to wineries, breweries, restaurants and groceries was ideal. My husband, our three month old, and I were traveling through the Charlottesville area and stayed at the barn overnight. Dawn reached out in advance to see if we needed a travel crib set up for our baby. We got in late in the evening and there was a floodlight that lit the way to the door for us. The barn was exactly what we needed. It was very clean with a freezer for breast milk, an unbelievably comfortable bed, and a shower with a tall shower head that my 6'7" husband greatly appreciated. In the morning we drove a few minutes down the road to the railroad trail to get outside before jumping back in the car for another long drive. We would absolutely want to stay at Dawn and Damond's again if we ever come back to the area!

We booked “The Barn” for a wedding at King Family Vineyards which was less than 2 miles away so that was perfect. We have booked many rentals all over the world but this one tops our list as the best one yet. The attention to detail in the design and decor of this place is amazing. It was spotless and the amenities provided were awesome. We loved how close it was to vineyards, breweries and downtown Crozet. We have family in the area and we will definitely come back to visit and we’ll stay at “The Barn”. My husband and I joked about not wanting to tell anyone else about this rental in order to keep it as our little secret for fear it would become too popular and hard to book :). “The Barn” is a wonderful place to stay. Thank you!!!

First family vacation success

This property was clean and convenient to both Charlottesville and Afton (needed to drive to both locations for wedding guest events). Had everything you would need for traveling with a toddler and the walkable neighborhood and playground was a hit with my 2 year old. It was a very comfortable space for 3 adults and 1 child.
