This place is fantastic. It’s one of those rare treasures where you hesitate to leave a review so there’s a room available when you want it, but that would be selfish so I will share my experience. Owners are awesome, staff is awesome and the town has great food and shopping just a short walk away.

Loved the photos & references to the carpet industry! The yarn display in the lobby & guest rooms was a nice touch. Peacock Alley with references to bedspreads & pillows on bed, such a nice touch!

I love boutique hotels and my stay at The Carpentry was a very nice one indeed! I loved the decor, that it was small and intimate, and I certainly loved the bed. The bed was fantastic and I slept well!

Good but no exceptional
First and foremost, the location is great. The hotel itself is very charming and quiet. You are able to walk to downtown easily. Plenty of restaurants near by. The bar on the second floor is good , especially when the weather is nice. The reception was warm and welcoming from the time you arrived until the time you left. My only complaints are the price and the room service. Meaning when they come and clean. I was in town for work for 4 days and no one cleaned at all, even when I stuck the sign on the door. Not a deal breaker but for the prices, I would expect at least a change of towels within that time period.
