Datong isn't renowned as being the accommodation capital of Yilan County, however the Cilan Resort is close enough to the town centre to satisfy most travellers.

30 kilometres from the heart of Datong is the King Town Hotel. The YUDO Excellent B and B is 30 kilometres away. Two other accommodation options are the Parplay B&B and the Bare Feet and Breakfast.

Yilan is 35 kilometres to the northeast of Datong and is home to the Memorial Hall of Founding of Yilan Administration, Yilan Distillery Chia Chi Lan Wine Museum and Yilan Dongmen Night Market. Should you wish to visit Yilan, check out the Just Stay and Balawua House. Wujie, home to the Traditional Arts Villa and Forte Dong-Shan Villa, Yilan, is 35 kilometres to the northeast of Datong. Unique hotel with swimming lap-pool and large hot-tub/spa on the roof. Our room was modern, clean and comfortable. Hotel is near lots of restaurants and local stores. Underground parking was convenient and breakfast options were great…lots of East and West cuisine choices. Staff are super friendly and ready to help…especially Rose at the front desk.
