Great House
This three-story house in the Black Hills is a fantastic space for families, offering ample room to spread out, but be mindful that children should navigate the stairs independently due to the layout. Its private setting is a bonus, providing a peaceful retreat even with neighboring homes. The house was clean and well-maintained during my stay; previous complaints about cleanliness might stem from misunderstandings around dishwashing responsibilities, as guests are expected to wash and put away dishes themselves rather than simply placing them in the dishwasher. Overall, it’s a lovely spot to enjoy the beauty of the area!

Dirty and dusty
This is a lovely property and the home itself was very nice. Cute decor and well appointed kitchen. The cleanliness was left wanting. The drawers and lazy susan were full of dirt and crumbs, dirty dishes were with clean ones in cabinets, dust on everything, hair in bathtub, refrigerator was filthy/sticky and we found prescription meds under a bed along with trash. While the setting was beautiful and the home nice, the filth ruined it for us. Unless they step up their game, DO NOT RECOMMEND. We left it cleaner than we found it, for sure!!

Beautiful cabin
It was beautiful and a max of an hour from Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Rapid City, etc. Wasn't the cleanest, communication was slow, wifi was so slow it was only occasionally usable, but overall we enjoyed our time. The cabin had plenty of room for us to stretch out and the location was very pretty.

Family Vacation
This property was beautiful and the view was wonderful! It was very spacious for our family. The property manager was helpful. They sent out a link to find the rental because it is a newer rental and the roads getting there are not paved yet. Overall I would definitely recommend this rental. The only downfall is there are not very many frying pans that can cook for a larger group.

Terry Peak Family Ski Trip
Very nice property will rent it again if it is available next year. Only thing is need a four wheel drive vehicle in the winter months for location. We had one but saw other people staying in the area struggling to get around . Was a great trip.

Beautiful and Clean
The cabin was perfect for our family trip. It was clean, spacious, and beautiful. We really appreciated the large laundry room. Not only were we able to do laundry, but the large space allowed us to store things that usually would just take up space and make it feel cluttered. The three separate floors allowed us all space when we needed it but there were many spaces that allowed us to gather. We also loved the many TVs located around the cabin. The only slight downside was that there was not a large enough dining table (indoor or outdoor) to accommodate us all eating at one time together. We made it work, though, and everything else about the cabin made up for this. I would highly recommend the property!

Great last minute ski trip
Thank you for sharing your lovely cabin with us. It was a wonderful place to relax and unwind after a day on Terry Peak. The new construction is wonderful... but the driveway needs some work. This weekend’s snow, then warmth was really hard on it... and stressful for us when we came and went. Other than that, the stay was perfect. Thank you so much.

Beautiful home
This house is SOO pretty. Clean and very well taken care of. About 20-30 minutes to Deadwood which is super fun and close to Custer too. Beds are very comfortable with nice bedding too. You are very secluded for being this close to town. Would stay here again if in the area. The hot tub was a nice addition too. Only thing to be aware of is that it seems to be a new property so not as well stocked as some more established properties. We had a big group and ran out of dishes a lot and there was only one 8 inch frying pan for our group of 9 so breakfast was a challenge. Also be sure to get detailed address instructions from owner. It is not on Google maps just yet😬. Overall a great place to stay to see the black hills.

Very disappointed that a really large group actually got into our rental instead of there’s before we arrived. They had moved all their bags in, eaten and drank, plugged the main floor toilet and tracked dirt all through kitchen from not removing thier shoes. Took then about a half hour to pack up and leave. Also the grill ran out of propane during the second use. It was filled for ya by the next day but we had half raw chicken and burgers that we then had to put in the oven. Besides for this, it really is a wonderful property. Just a very disappointing start for our first vrbo rental ever and after a 10 hour drive to find others in our rental property. Apparently the cleaning lady let them in. They were suppose to be in the rental next door.

A perfect family getaway during Covid
Our family (two parents and kids aged 5, 7 and 10) absolutely loved this cabin. It felt luxurious but cozy, had plenty of room and great amenities. The cabin is "isolated" in that we never saw anyone, yet it was near a cozy little ski neighborhood. There was a cute little family of deer right outside our door most mornings. WiFi worked great, plenty of towels, beautiful furnishings and we enjoyed exploring the Northern Hills. Recommend the Mount Roosevelt Memorial Trail for an easy hike with kids; Bear Butte was a harder one, but we made it. Roubaix Lake was nearby with a small beach that our kids enjoyed! The property owner was responsive. Plug in "Last Chance Trail" for easiest navigation!
