We loved our stay. Getting there was the only challenge. The address is not mapped so an address to a property down the street is provided and you’re told to look for their street on approach. Not that easy… First, you better subscribe to a Starlink plan or print out the directions because about 30 minutes outside the property, you’ll lose satellite communication and will be navigating primitively. Also, watch out for the local drivers and for Christs sake, drive well below the speed limit so you don’t die. Locals drive like Earnhardt on the main road leading to the house which is treacherous. Vertical drop-offs 6” from the lip and zero guardrail. It’s insanity and I’m a Floridian. You’ll also need to plan to stop at a grocery store well before you get there (especially if you have kids) because there is NOTHING within a 30-minute drive and, aside from cleaning supplies, you won’t find so much as a coffee grain. Every other street/house is conveniently called “trout” something or other so don’t get confused. Once you’re there and brush the near death off your skin it’s a beautiful spot. Clean, peaceful, remote. The stream was everything and my husband, two little boys, and myself will remember it forever. PS-The earthworms under the outside trash cans are awesome bait!
