Stay in a Piece of History! 1941 WWII Douglas DC-3 Airliner

1941 WWII Douglas DC-3 Airliner. Flown by the United States Marines for military transport services between Guam, Midway, and Pearl Harbor. Retrofit for overnight comfort with A/C, heat, bathroom, shower, kitchen with outside deck and grilling area, and campfire pit set amongst the trees alongside a private lake with dock. Sleeps four comfortably. Sit in the fully restored, lit cockpit, and feel what it was like to fly one of the most iconic aircraft ever built.

There is a campsite-like space with a fire pit and dock on the right as you come up the driveway. Catch and release, except for bass. Feel free to bring a boat, canoe, or kayak (no boat landing or motorized boats.) Please note there is not a beach area along the shore. *Guests swim in the lake at their own risk.

Plenty of room to park your ATV/snowmobile trailers with route access right from the driveway.

Located just minutes from restaurants, golfing, public beaches, and hiking and biking trails.

Interesting
It was unique and an interesting piece of history. Views from the deck were fantastic. However, outside area around the plane could have been trimmed. Firepit was a mess and no desire to use it because it was in bad shape, not inviting. The dock was spongy and too small for two people to fish off of. Some of this may be due to recent rains. From looking at the pictures we thought the firepit and dock were closer to the plane. The bathroom floor was painted and peeling. Luckily we had shower shoes to use in the shower.
