Welcome to Cuyuna Lakeshore Lodge... cuyunalodge.com. (see more here)! The Lodge is a serene private retreat located on an expansive 33 acres of wilderness. With over 1,400 ft of shoreline on beautiful Rabbit Lake the Lodge is perfectly located in the heart of Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area.

The 5,600 square foot lodge boasts 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and plenty of gathering spaces for large groups coming together to vacation, gather for family reunions, host retreats or just rest and recharge.


As you pull into the property and wind your way to the lodge you’re surrounded by a heavy wooded oasis. You’re welcomed by a covered front porch with seating for enjoying hillside views. Upon entering the lodge you’ll be instantly drawn to the floor to ceiling windows capturing panoramic views of Rabbit Lake in all its glory. The great room boasts a 2-story stone fireplace with seating for large group gatherings. The dining room rotunda comfortably seats 12 with additional seating at the kitchen counter. The kitchen is perfect for entertaining with a butcher block island for prepping meals and simply gathering.


The space
As you walk downstairs, the entertaining spaces expand to include a bar area with a beverage fridge, a second living space with a large sectional and 70” TV and a game room that includes a pool table, foosball and ping pong table.

From relaxing in the lodge’s wellness center with a sauna and hot tub, to cooking up a feast for your whole crew in our grand, functional kitchen, you can be assured you’ll make memories to last.

In the Summer you’ll enjoy the lake and sandy beach with a dock for tying up your boat or for casting your fishing rod out to get the big catch. In the Fall you’ll enjoy the beautiful foliage colors with the ability to get out in nature through the property’s private walking trails. In the Winter you’ll enjoy outdoor snow fun, nearby snowmobile trails, great ice fishing and at the end of the day cozying up by the fire with a cup of hot cocoa!

Cuyuna Lakeshore Lodge is in the heart of the lakes of Northern Minnesota including one of the top mountain biking destinations in the US; Cuyuna Mountain Biking Trails. Year-round recreation that’s only 1 mile from Cruser’s Kettle Mountain Bike Trail Head.

First time staying here for our annual couples getaway. Owner was quick to respond and didn't have a long list of rules/to-do list. Was clean and comfortable. Would stay here again. The location was amazing in the winter, would love to see it in the summer.

Annual Peterson Family Get-Away
This was our 28th annual family get-away and Cuyuna Lodge was one of our favorites! It was warm and cozy! Very clean. The kitchen was well stocked, better than any place we’ve ever stayed.There were so many amenities, all functioning, and fun! The ages in our family range from 2-67 and there was plenty to do for everyone. Vinh and Megan were great communicators, This was a beautiful place to make more wonderful memories! We hope to go back again!!

Retreat for female investment club
This property met our needs well. There were ten of us. It is as pictured. The property was lovely. Some of our members used the kayaks and several hiked. Some went into Pequot Lakes to shop. We utilized the kitchen for cooking. While it had all household utensils one needs to cook, I'd advise bringing cooking supplies such as oil and coffee as they are not supplied. When arriving drive slowly to find the fire number at the end of the driveway as it is easy to miss.

Loved every minute of our stay! Thank you! Two items of note: 1) when we took the cover off of the hot tub, there was LOTS of sand in the hot tub 🙁 2) when we arrived, the two FULL garbage cans were at the end of the gravel driveway and were tipped over and MANY full garbage bags of trash were strewn on the road and adjacent hills. Maybe an animal had tipped them over. We tried our best to pick up the loose garbage and re-bag it in several new garbage bags. 🙁

Family Time
Our family of 14 thoroughly enjoyed the home. We gathered around the big kitchen cooking together and gathered in the family area to play games! PLENTY of room for all. We also enjoyed the outdoor activities of fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking and building a fire. Our host was very prompt with replies to our questions. Just a great time and much appreciated location as we mountain biked every day on the trails that were a short distance away

Perfect Family Getaway
We were here for a family reunion with 14 of us staying at the house. The house was absolutely perfect for us! Big living room, big kitchen, huge family room for the kids, and a great yard and lake. Crosby was only 10 min away and had lots of cute shops, coffee shops, ice cream, and bike rentals. We would not have changed a thing about our stay!

Annual Family Winter Weekend
We had a fabulous time in this large lodge that was comfortable and roomy for all 18 of us! The teenagers enjoyed the ping pong table, pool table, the TV room, the sauna and jacuzzi. The kitchen is wide open. If you have a large group it can feel a bit tight when making food for 18! Plenty of seating for everyone to eat together. The property is very private and lots of trails to enjoy. We were able to go out on the lake with skates and boots. We did not have any snow so the sliding and building a snowman wasn't in our favor this year. The warm winter also attracted the asian beetles and they were a bit bothersome...hopefully next winter it will be a lot colder to deter the beetles. The adults enjoyed the fire pit but we bought a lot of wood to make the fire. Normally the owners supply the wood but there wasn't any when we arrived. Be sure to ask about the firewood when you stay there. The lodge is close to town and there is a nice big grocery there if you forget anything. The host, Vinh, is very helpful with any questions or concerns. All in all we had a great weekend. We may head back up there in a year or two.

Family Christmas
We looked at a lot of properties for our big family Christmas and this is the one everyone wanted! Although the weather was a little strange and we didn't get to be outside really, the inside offered plenty to do for all! Everything was in working order with the normal wear and tear you'd expect from a rental. Instructions were clear and amenities provided were perfect! Running into town for supplies was a convenient distance and we even went into bowl one afternoon. That was also fun! Loved the Christmas tree lit up for us, fireplace, jaccuzi, sauna, games... it was a great property!

The house is set up very well for a large group. It was great to have the basement with a second family room along with other things to do (pool, ping pong, foosball) when we weren’t down at the lake. The lake was great - not too much boat traffic which made it nice for tubing with the kids. Fishing was great - caught a number of bass and northerns. Nice sandy beach.

16 family members gathered to celebrate birthdays. Very difficult getting everyone together at the same place,same time so we wanted to make the most of it. This place was just perfect. Everything was as described. Owner, Vinh, was very responsive when a/c failed. He had people there quickly and came over in person to make sure it went well. It did. We would all love to visit again.
