About the Property-
The University is your entertaining headquarters with over 4000 square feet of living space and more than ample parking (20 cars). This unique home sits on an acre of land right in West DesMoines/ Waukee area. Its location is pretty sweet, convenient to all the hot spots. Just a couple minutes to Hy-vee (large, beautiful grocery store), Jordan Creek mall and 6 other retail shopping centers, kid and teen fun spots like trampoline parks and entertainment arcade/restaurant complexes (SpareTime, Dave and Busters, Putts and Pins and The Operating Room), Smash Park, several golf courses, a plethora of restaurants pizza joints and steakhouses that rock... pretty much anything you want!
The main floor is open concept and features an executive chef's kitchen set up for entertaining. All the gear you need for cooking as well as the gadgets and appliances are in house. It also boasts a 6-burner VIKING gas range. Also, there are 4 bedrooms and access to the 40' deck with hot tub. The deck and back yard have plenty of seating, a dining table for 6, a grill, the hot tub, additional seating, a fire pit, a 2-person swing and more! Bike paths connecting you to Des Moines extensive trail system are minutes away as well.
The lower level is set up for fun! Ping pong, pool table, NFL Blitz (4-player), Golden Tee (4-player), NBA Jams (4-player) and darts are all at your disposal. There is also a huge sectional couch that seats 12, a bar with bar stools, and 75" tv for your viewing pleasure. We also offer some of the best of board and card games, Jenga, a 4-foot tall Connect Four, and Giant Yatzy! Not to mention another full kitchen and bar! BONUS-I OWN AN APT COMPLEX 12 MINUTES AWAY- At the Four Seasons Apartments in Des Moines Iowa- THERE, YOU CAN USE THE INDOOR POOL, OUTDOOR POOL AND TWO-LEVEL CLUBHOUSE WITH GYM, SAUNAS, ANOTHER POOL TABLE AND PING PONG TABLE, ETC.. The last pictures posted for this property show the indoor pool and the pics following that are of the clubhouse adjoining the pool. This is at no additional charge and its just 12 minutes away! Open 9am to 9m daily.

I love to make people happy and that exactly what my properties are designed for. I'm a landlord by trade. I have apartment complexes and rental homes. Then six years ago I created my first vacation rental property, and it grew from there. I offer vacation rentals because it's fun! Making sure groups are set up to have a blast is a challenge that I find very rewarding. I take this seriously. Being a big kid at heart, I make it my mission to deliver the fun for kids- also being one who appreciates nice things, I deliver comfort and attention to detail for the adults. I truly desire for you to have the most fun and relaxation as possible, and with the fewest hassles as well. That is why we put in so much effort before you get there. Comfy Beds! Great Location! Ton of Space!
We had 7 adults, which gave us PLENTY of space to spread out. The beds were the most comfortable we have had in a VRBO. I'm particular about my pillow, I would bring my own next time. Everyone else was fine. There are so many areas to spaces to sit & chat or relax/nap. The downstairs pit group is very comfy! The kitchen is well equipped. There were plenty of plates & glasses. Check the fridge & cabinets before buying condiments or pasta. There was plenty. The fridge is smaller if you have a large group however, there is another fridge downstairs in the entertainment room. Speaking of entertainment, ping pong, pool, giant Connect 4 & the video games were a blast! Nice, safe neighborhood. Great grocery store just a mile or so away. Close to restaurants & pretty much anything you want. The street is very busy during commute times but otherwise not bad. Thankfully, we didn’t hear much traffic. Beautiful country club across the street. Quiet back yard. We enjoyed sitting on the deck. We hope to gather here again someday!

Great location!
We used this property for our church’s junior high trip and it was perfect! Plenty of sleeping room - and the kids LOVED the basement games! Communication was a breeze, and we even took advantage of the apartment pool mentioned in the listing. Great location, close to the interstate so a quick drive anywhere around the area! Weekend family get together for Father's Day
Steve is one of the best hosts we have ever had. He is extremely friendly and readily available. He is quick to respond to any questions. He allowed us to check in a bit early as the house was ready early. That really helped the young families with their travel and naps for kids. The house was amazing. It was clean and very well appointed. We were a party of 14 and there was plenty of linens, beds, dishes and cookware. Nothing was overlooked. We did not have to bring ANYTHING. There were sealed toiletries like toothbrushes, toothpaste, makeup remover, etc. Just like a hotel! The house has so much space as well as things to do in the basement. The hot tub was clean and in good working order. The deck was nicely furnished and allowed us some nice time outside after the kids went to bed. The house is set back from the road and we did not have street noise. We had a lovely time. We would highly recommend this property without any reservations whatsoever.

This place is nice and full of entertainment options! We met as a halfway point for one night. We had a great time. Steven was great to communicate with. A couple pieces of furniture were weak and broken but after letting Steven know I’m confident those have been removed from the home. This place is conveniently located just off the major highway to bypasses Des Moines on the West side. We met at The Machine Shed upon arrival and Cracker Barrel upon departure both within minutes away. Great stay, many memories made. We weren’t desperate and I did not need to ask but extra bedding could be an issue so plan ahead and inquire. The step into the house has settled and is an extra tall step that caused a bit of a problem but once in all was good.

Basketball tournament weekend
The basement was awesome. The boys loved that space! The hot tub was also enjoyed. The kitchen had everything we needed. Our one and only issue was with the inaccuracy of the number of people the home was supposed to sleep. Because of this discrepancy we had to sleep on the floors and couches without blankets and pillows. I had tried contacting Steven via phone and text upon our late arrival, but was unsuccessful. Steven tried to make this right the following morning when I brought it to his attention with a late check out and a second night, but unfortunately we were unable to extend our stay. We would stay here again, but with fewer people.

Awesome place for family!
We had an absolutely great time! We used the property for a family Christmas gathering. The reason we chose this house was because of the games in the basement and they did not disappoint. The kids had a great time with them during the day and the adults enjoyed them after the kids went to bed. I would highly recommend this property!
