Magnificent
The house is directly on the beach, the view is stunning, the deck has comfortable chaires. This beach is never crowded and very quite. There is a sandy part perfect for children, and rocky part perfect for snorkling. The most famous beaches, Perl and Grand anse are on tbe right and on the left, 10 minutes and 20 minutes walking distance. The trail to Grande anse is so beatiful! House has everything for cooking if you decide to cook at home. I cannot imagine the better place!

Fantastic View & Peaceful Location.
The location is perfect, If you are a Death in Paradise fan, then this spot is closest to all the main filming locations. The house had AC in the bedrooms which made sleeping comfortable. The living area can be opened up on all sides to catch a breeze. We watched a turtle from the covered deck, that came up the beach to lay eggs right in front of us. The hosts were responsive to our communications. There is no cell service around the property but the WiFi is excellent. A car is definitely needed to stay here as grocery stores are about 10 to 15 minutes away.

We absolutely LOVED this place! Had everything we needed to create a memorable and beautiful holiday. All as described plus extra touches like snorkelling equipment. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Ocean Front Escape
We loved this rental! The surf was right outside the windows and patio. It was 5-6 minutes drive to Pearl Beach or Deshaies. 5 minute walk on pathway south to Gadet Beach, a calmer cove for swimming and much less visited than the big beaches. The house is spacious and well stocked in the kitchen. Great outdoor seating. Each bedroom with ensuite bath and AC, mosquito netting. We would love to go back. The end of our week had stronger surf and I found it too loud for sleeping but my husband was fine. I simply slept in the middle bedroom. Great property for enjoying nprthwest Basse- Terre.

Holiday in paradise
We loved our stay at Gilberte’s , Marie Line’s and Yeli’s house on the beach . We spent a perfect holiday in paradise in glorious Guadeloupe. The house was clean and well presented in an outstanding location. We were greeted when we arrived by our wonderful host Marie Line . Her son Yeli was also charming and helpful. To sum it up , it was sublime and we have already booked to go back.

Endroit idyllique
Deuxième visite à cette maison dans un endroit idyllique. Très relaxant, sécuritaire et privé. Quand les vagues ne sont pas trop hautes on peut très bien se baigner et snorkeler devant la maison. La maison est quand même assez bien équipée. Ce qui serait utile est un carnet infos bons à savoir, p. ex. quand sortir les poubelles, quoi faire avec le recyclage, idées de restos etc.

A true piece of Paradise
Beautiful rustic house directly on the most amazing beach that we had all to ourselves most of the time. 3 ensuite bedrooms with air con. Large shaded terrace. Fantastic restaurants within a 10 min drive. Responsive host. Just totally in love with this house.

Perfect location; gracious hosts
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved being steps from the water and were lulled at night by the sound of the surf. It was a quiet neighborhood within a quick drive from the village of Deshaies, where we could get what we needed. Our host and her son were responsive and helpful - and patient with my halting French. We definitely recommend a stay here and will come back if we can!

On the beach!
The beach location was great - just a few steps in the sand to the Caribbean! Geographically, the location was great for "Death in Paradise" fans - between Deshaise and Ste. Rose where most filming seems to have been. Hosts were great - dealt with Hily and he speaks English and was very hepful.

A true paradise
This is the first time I rented a property through VRBO. In all honesty, I feel in love with the house, as well as its location directly on the beach, before I even looked to see where it was located. This house is what brought us to Guadeloupe. The host was wonderful & responded right away to any questions we had... even things that weren't property-related, such as, where we could find an ATM nearby. The house was truly perfection with all the amenities you can possibly need. The weather was lovely, the beach was gorgeous, and we enjoyed the sound of the waves that lulled us to sleep every night. We didn't experience any mosquitoes, as mentioned by another guest. Perhaps it was the time of year we visited. We found there to be a constant breeze from the ocean so, perhaps, that kept any pests at bay. We'd like to thank the host for their hospitality and sharing their beautiful property with us. We look forward to visiting again.

Perfect house on a perfect location
A family of three we very very happy to have stayed in this awesome house on a perfect location. The beach felt almost like a private beach to us, other interesting locations being easily accessible from here by car. The house sleeps 8 persons (5 beds in 3 en-suite bedrooms), of which only one single bed does not have the mosquito net hanging above. Fully equipped kitchen with two ocean-view windows makes everyone a wannabe-cook ;-) The private terrace with two lounge chairs and an enclosed fence and a small surrounding garden with two sunbathing chairs and another enclosed fence all around offers a cosy and safe outside environment for kids play and relaxed parents. The rolling waves in the sea require a parent nearby the kids while in the water. The sand on this beach is a bit “rougher” compared to some other beaches nearby. From the house there is an easy short walk on the sand to the Plage de la Perle (much busier there, though, but some nice food available in the beach restaurants there). The closest village Deshaies offers a few restaurants, a grocery store, a pharmacy, etc. The closest bigger grocery store is Leclerc in Sainte-Rose. For the urgent groceries there is also a tiny local shop along the road right behind the Plage de la Perle. Keep in mind that the actual opening times of the shops might be different to the ones written on Google (Maps) and even to the ones on the official stores websites (shorter, split schedule). We preferred the Basse-Terre island as opposed to the Grande-Terre island as a place to stay… you can always drive to Grande-Terre for two single-day visits of their beaches, but Basse-Terre has far reacher vegetation and terrain diversity. On the Grande-Terre we went twice to the Plage de Bois Jolan and observed the sunrise at Pointe des Châteaux. On the Basse-Terre we went twice to the Plage de Malendure and Petit Plage Malendure (great snorkeling there with colorful fish including barracuda and the turtles and great Coco Sorbet and the sunset behind the Îlets de Pigeon), went on a half-day boat excursion from Sainte-Rose called Blue Lagoon (visited beautiful places in the mangrove forest, snorkled at the great coral reef of Guadeloupe and finished off on a tiny island Îlet Blanc with the tasting of home-made drink called Planteur - tropic fruit juice mixed with rum), drove across the island via Route de la Traversee and stopped at the beautiful and playful Zoo de Guadeloupe au Parc Des Mamelles along the way.

Fantastique!
Très belle propriété telle que décrite. L'emplacement est simplement un des meilleurs! Directement sur une plage et à marche de 3 autres belles plages. Marie-Line et Yeli sont top! Vraiment rien de négatif à dire. La maison est adéquate avec une superbe terrasse! Un bel endroit pour décrocher. Aucune hésitation d'y retourner ou de recommander.

Remarkable location
The Villa is just above the beach and offers wonderful views from the very well equipped large covered deck. We chose the bedroom that gave access to the deck with Sea view, which is very nice, but we experienced unusually large sea swells which were very noisy. Nevertheless, we stayed in the room although others are available, The hosts are lovely, and very helpful. We will go back!

Paradise on Earth. The best vacation house ever
This is a very uniquely situated property directly on the beach with panoramic views in all directions. It is like having your own private beach as there is rarely anyone on it, Stunning views of the sunset every night. Comfortable and well equipped.

Relaxing waterfront family vacation!
The other reviews were spot on. Superb location on a semi-private beach, snorkeling out front, often a cool breeze that helped with the mosquitos, felt safe/secure, and caretakers were friendly and available. Our 1 & 2 year old were well contained on the large fenced in patio, a high chair, two pack n plays (but one ended up sleeping under mosquito netting), and even a toddler wash bin for the shower. Hopefully future guests will be able to enjoy the inflatable toddler bedrails we left behind. There is even a kids' playground on way to Cherry's Pizza. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

Pleasant beach front property
We were very happy and impressed with this seaside property. The patio is large, covered and comfortable with a view to die for. The owners made us feel very welcomed and even brought over a beautiful fresh punch and wonderful fritters as a welcome gift. The kitchen is large and well equipped, comfortable bedrooms and new showers through out. There's even a washing machine. The property is quite close to shopping, restaurants, a botanical garden and lovely beaches. The beach the house sits on is gorgeous. We will be coming back to this lovely place.

Great house with a private beach
We were wery satisfied and impressed by the setting of this spatious house. Right on the beach (which is still sandy after the hurricane compared to others). House is clean and so is the beach. Even moskytos were not so bad as expected. Landlady very helpful and welcoming. We have stayed in other places on the island but this one is the best value for money!!

The property is very nice, accommodated all one would need. The location is very acceptable once you find the property as we had no cell phone service, with the luck of God Make sure you rent car .... we found a neighbor to show . Make sure to bring bug spray moscitos where terrible in bedroom and on deck more at night.
