The flush in the toilet is very noisy. Everytime I flushed it’a noise is equal to train engine. Water in the sink was draining very slow. Breakfast is below average. I expected the scramble eggs and pancakes to be served, instead of frozen egg and sausage sandwiches. Fruit juice had too much sugars.

My two most important needs for a hotel room is Cleanliness and a Professional staff. This Wyndham hotel in Troy Michigan surpassed all my expectations. My room was very clean and it smelled like new. Cory at the front desk was very friendly and helpful when my cellphone broke. There was coffee and tea available all day in the lobby and the breakfast selection was much bigger than other Wyndham's I have stayed at. Parking lot is huge and clean. Overall this Wyndham hotel is better managed and much cleaner compared to other Wyndham Wyndgate hotels I have stayed at. I am rating it at 5 stars and I will be back. The only thing that bothered me was the room did not have a coffee maker which I thought was very strange.

This property came at 1/2 price of others around, so you get what you pay for. It was tolerable, but not pleasant. The staff were nice and prompt when asked for help, they seem to be short staffed, and the property is probably not making enough to do things that they might like to improve.

While the rooms and property have been maintained, the furnishings and decor are dated. The hallway carpeting is visibility dirty and makes a poor first impression upon arrival. The breakfast offering is akin to what you may incounter at a convenient store self serve kiosk. When we checked in, we found the room dirty. Additionally, when we tried to connect to the Internet, there was no connection. We called the front desk, and they informed us that the hotel was fully booked and that the slow or non-existent Internet was due to too many people trying to connect. Despite this, I was never able to connect to the Internet at all. Unfortunately, no one apologized or offered any compensation. In many hotels, management would at least apologize and perhaps offer some form of compensation, but that was not the case here. I will never stay at this property again!

There is a lot of room for improvement. The room seemed like it wasn’t clean. Discoloration in the sheets, towels and throughout the bathroom wasn’t friendly to look at. Sheets, towels and furniture all looked and felt old and low quality. I ended up booking a hotel somewhere else instead of spending the night because I wasn’t comfortable enough to sleep in there or even shower for the one night I was in town. Bad choice for the price.
