Very disappointing
I was so looking forward to staying at Somerset Inn. It was so disappointing. Part wasn’t the fault of management, there were 4 traveling sports teams full of young boys wreaking havoc in the hallways and elevators. The management seemed to have gotten that under control. Hallways are noisy. Beds and pillows are bricks. Interior is extremely dated. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Great location, though. With all the other more modern hotels that are a bit less pricey, we probably won’t stay here again.

I asked for a room that was not right next to the elevator. The desk person didn’t look too hard and said Housekeeping had not cleaned all the empty rooms after a large party checked out. So much for helping a customer. I stay often in the area and decided to try the Inn. Never again.

Overall it was a pleasant stay. Clean rooms, friendly front desk personnel, quiet and they even had warm cookies at the front desk nightly for free! My only issue was my second night my room key just stopped working and when I got a new one it still would not work. Not that anyone is to blame but maintenance tried multiple keys and could not get any but his master key to work. It was not addressed until the next morning but made me feel stuck in the room at 6pm throughout the night because I did not want to have to ask to be let back into my room. Also a little stressful leaving the next morning with no key and not knowing what the situation will be when you return but they did get it fixed I just had to call and make sure before I arrived back

Very quiet except for air conditioner in room which was loud and not efficient. Food was good, I can only rate breakfast. Beautiful garden but was too hot to enjoy. Tv was quirky to adjust. Room and bathroom were very clean.
