Property was nice overall. I hated the whole virtual check-in no staff crap. The worst part was the bedding, I've traveled all over the world and stayed in decent places to amazing places but I’ve never had an experience where the sheets made me itch like crazy. It was so bad I had to jump up and shower and I actual stayed somewhere else. I sent a message and they said they would address it. I went back the next day, mid day and try to lay down with clothes on and same itchy feeling started. I never slept there. I don’t know what they use for their linen but it was awful. I really wish I could have stay because the unit was very nice.

There was a used razer left in the shower, and it just looked like it wasn't wiped down in the shower. There was also some silverware that still had hard food stuck on them from previous person, and the actual buildings hallways to the room smelled like a urinal cake, but other than that it was a pleasant stay for us. We spent a lot of our time out exploring the city outside. I would definitely stay here again if we came to that part of Detroit. I just wanted to give you some honest feedback so that maybe you can improve and make it well worth the price you charge.

The room wasn't dirty, but wasn't clean. The paint, furniture, cabinets, etc. were all beat up, but not "broken". Bathroom and water pressure were good, though the toilet seat was loose/slid around. Couch was incredibly uncomfortable. Floors and carpets needed cleaning. The lobby had a disgusting stench that bounced between "feces" and "feces covered with a broken bottle of perfume". Overall I would give it a 3.5 but that's not an option. Affordable, good location, but I would not book again unless the issues mentioned were addressed. Easiest place to park is the deck at Congress and Randolph-- the surface lots nearby are cash only and scammy.

If things had worked as they were supposed to, this would have been a perfectly fine, reasonably priced option (much cheaper than nearby hotels). But the virtual front desk is not working. We had major issues accessing our room and retrieving our luggage from storage after checkout (a service offered by the building). When we arrived, the door to our room had been bolted and we could not open it with our key code. We called the virtual front desk and they sent someone to fix it in 20 minutes. I don't know what would have happened on a weekend when there was no employee in the building. We then left our bags in the storage room after checking out. Just to make sure, I texted the virtual front desk to confirm that our building+room code would continue to give us access to the building and luggage room after we checked out. I received a response confirming this. But then, when we returned for our bags later in the day, our code of course did NOT work. I texted with the virtual front desk, received an unhelpful response suggesting they did not understand the issue, and was put on hold for 10 minutes when I called the concierge while standing outside the building. We ended up getting our luggage using a code our friends (who also stayed there) had managed to obtain after encountering the same issue. I finally received a text message response from the concierge...2.5 hours later, when we were boarding the plane home.

First time staying at Kasa in Detroit and overall I enjoyed the stay. The room was perfect for us being two bedrooms and it was fully stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. One thing that I did not read from other reviews for this location is how loud it got on weekends. We stayed there Friday and Saturday and there were loud cars, crowd noises, shouting from beer bikes that went up and down the street all night long. Luckily no one in my group is a light sleeper but it was loud. The room did come with masks and ear plugs which I thought was a nice touch. The saving grace was that it was pouring rain the next day and it kept the partiers at home. The overall area is convenient but the exact location of the hotel was a little awk. There is no buildings attached to it so it felt a little isolated and could feel a little sketchy at times. It was still close to attractions and restaurants dt and we enjoyed walking in the area. I wish it wasn't so isolated. The building itself felt safe and communication and the digital tools worked amazing. I would give Kasa another try in a different city!

It exceeded our expectations!! Everything clean and well maintained. All kitchen needs are in the unit. Love the city view too! 711 downstairs, very convenient. Affordable parking just right across the property ♥️
