Overall, this property is really good. Would recommend to anyone, however, please bring shampoo and conditioner as none are provided. Also, housekeeping service does not come daily. No breakfast is provided and closest restaurant is 15 minutes away.

Small town ambiance
Very well maintained property with easy access to two restaurants within walking distance. Plenty of parking. Amazing river view with a balcony in several rooms, including a great view of the “Eternal Indian” statue.

The property as a whole is in need of updating. The rooms are ok but certainly in line with room rates. The location of the property is great - on the river. The patios and decks overlooking the river and scenery are great but again in need of updating. The restaurant was closed . There was no coffee pot in rooms and none available at the front desk. When finally made no decaf was offer. No breakfast offered, not even a packaged roll. Again this is a common courtesy with most other comparable properties.The lobby and halls reeked of cigarette smoke which is a complete turn off to customers. The person at front desk did not greet people coming and going. There was a paddle wheel boat docked at the property which is nice. All in all, it is one of a few overnight facilities in Oregon, IL but is in need of updating and renovating.

Everything was excellent and clean. Only issue was the coffee or should I say hot brown water! Didnt taste like coffee at all not even a little hint of coffee. And rooms dont have coffee pots in them so you can't brew your own.

Nice place to stay. Hotel very clean and the location is perfect on the scenic river. Only one concern though, the wifi did work, but it was very slow. I even went from the room to the lobby and dining room, but still was slow. I rely heavily on wifi in the evening for the nature of my trip. Overall though, a great place to stay. **The Blackhawk Pit across the parking lot is amazing!!**

Beautiful setting, extremely quiet, no frills but very tidy, smelled clean, everything worked, great shower. Quite cozy (i.e., small) room, but o.k. for a single overnight. Only complaint was a very squeaky spot in the floor. Safety plus: fire sprinklers in the room as well as in the halls and stairs. Would be pleased to stay there again.
