Rural idyll on the city, yet right in the middle: Relax + Experience

The house is one of the oldest houses on the Loschwitz Elbe hillside and was originally built in 1848 as a winegrower's house. In the meantime there was the famous Dresden painter Ludwig Richter as summery studio. (The studio even still exists). Until 1945 it remained the summer home for wealthy Loschwitzer, after that it was as a studio - used and exhibition hall of the Dresden artist Metz Kolbe. After the turn was converted into a residential building.

Recreation and Experience: The apartment is very quiet and offers great comfort. In winter, cozy, cool in summer and always fresh mountain air above the city. The small covered terrace and the garden invite you to linger and relax. With public transport but also by car or bicycle, guests will quickly and easily reach the Schillerplatz (5-10 min), the Dresden city center (15-20 min) or the Dresden region. Walks on the banks of the Elbe, to Körnerplatz or in the adjacent forest areas provide good relaxation.

Family friendly - but really!: The apartment is on the ground floor and offers spacious accommodation for 2 to 5 (6) persons. Two separate bedrooms, separate bathroom, storage areas and a spacious living room provide the ideal prerequisite for a relaxing time. All surfaces are well abwischar, all textile furniture (sofa, etc) have washable covers. Electronics or dangerous things are out of micro-child coverage. If required we can provide a children's library, Duplo collection of stones or Disney movies available. A playground like a real forest are within walking distance. The garden area and the tree house can be used of course.

Lovely Rental!
Stayed at this lovely home in late December. Very cute and cozy!! We had a group of 5 adults and it was a perfect spot to hang out after a long day out in Dresden. The host was very responsive to any of our inquiries and was helpful in identifying things to do in Dresden! Would definitely recommend this place to a friend.

Actually the house is very nice. But at our only 2 nights stay, they forgot to Switch on the Heater.
It was Sunday (as our last day), and we have to leave the house very early in the morning (around 6 AM). And.... the heater and the water heater in bathroom had been off since last night . They said sorry already, but I think I have to write it here, so they remember to switch it on every time they have guests to stay.

Home away from home
We really enjoyed our stay at Andreas' cottage. She gave us a wealth of information upon our arrival. The house was perfect for us, and the neighborhood was charming. We took public transportation, which ran once an hour, to all of our destinations. Dresden is a must see in your European travels!

Einfach nur wunderbar :)
Die Wohnung liegt sehr ruhig in einem alten Villenviertel über der Elbe - und ist dennoch mit Schwebebahn und Tram gut an die Innenstadt angebunden (wer mag, kann den Aufstieg natürlich auch als tägliches Fitness-Programm verwenden: ca. 85 Höhenmeter müssen bewältigt werden). Die Zimmer sind gemütlich und individuell eingerichtet, die Küche komplett; sogar eine Spülmaschine ist da. Zusammen mit der freundlichen Begrüßung durch die Gastgeber und dem schönen Wetter hatten wir einen sehr schönen Kurzurlaub in Dresden. Ich hoffe sehr, dass wir nicht zum letzten Mal hier waren!

We came to Dresden after having our plans for the Black Forest fall apart due to weather problems. That being said, this wonderful rental property became one of the main highlights of our trip. The flat is very spacious, clean and very well maintained. The property is set up on a very prestigious area, quiet and very close to Dresden's Main attractions. Andreas and his wonderful family went out of their way to make us feel at home. We even had the unexpected pleasure of having our two girls get invited to participate on their private family Easter Egg hunt with their own children. This was a gesture so above and beyond, that we will cherish with our most precious memories of our time in Germany. I highly recommed this property for an unforgettable time in Dresden. Bis Bald

Wir waren sehr angenehm überrascht von der wirklich netten Unterkunft.Jaa…das Bad ist in die Jahre gekommen …aber ausreichend…auch für 4….! Und ja…man hört die Nachbarn die oben wohnen..aber da wir eh viel unterwegs waren hat auch das nicht gestört.Die Lage ist top…nahe der Schwebebahn und Bushaltestelle,schön eingerichtet…gemütlich und ein gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.Wir würden wieder kommen,da wir schon ganz andere Erfahrungen in Dresden gemacht haben! Danke

Hallo, ich habe mich mit der Bewertung schwer getan. Die Besitzer sind sehr nett und sind uns auch entgegen gekommen. Nach den Bildern online haben wir eine gemütliche und trotzdem neuwertig wirkende Unterkunft erwartet. Leider wirkt die Unterkunft etwas in die Jahre gekommen bzw einfach etwas "verbraucht". Mir ist schon klar, dass beim weißen Sofa es schwer ist, das Sofa in der Vermietung sauber zu halten. Aber man könnte da ja schon mal was machen. Wir haben eine Decke drüber gelegt, da es nicht so appetitlich ausschaute. Auch haben wir so einige Spinnweben oder Schmutzecken entdeckt. Das Fach unter dem Backofen sollte im Idealfall verriegelt werden. :-/ Vielleicht, wenn man sich dessen bewusst ist, wäre es auch vollkommen ok. Wir haben jedenfalls nach den Fotos eine etwas mehr im Schuss gehaltene Unterkunft erwartet. Wenn man dort länger verweilt, denke ich, dass man auch mit den Eigentümern sicherlich auch da ins Gespräch kommen könnte, da sie sehr nett waren. Für unseren kurzen Aufenthalt hatte es sich nicht gelohnt.

Diese Unterkunft hat eine tolle Lage außerhalb Dresdens in einem schönen Villenquartier. Der Garten ist sehr idyllisch, gerade mit Kindern perfekt. Die Unterkunft ist zweckmäßig ausgestattet und hat alles, was man benötigt. Wir hielten uns gerne darin auf, ein paar Spinnen & ein bisschen “used”-Charme störten uns nicht.

Sehr schöner Kurzaufenthalt
Die Wohnung hat einen sehr schönen Charme. Ein richtiges Künstlerhaus mit Ecken und Kanten überwuchert mit Grün. Es ist alles da was man braucht und soweit auch alles sauber. Das Bad könnte eine Neuerung gebrauchen und der Garten ist mit den Kindern nicht nutzbar. Viel kaputtes Spielzeug und „Baustellen“. Ansich ja nicht schlimm wenn man was erneuern will aber dann sollte man das vorab sagen und lieber habe ich ein paar Spielsachen weniger als Dinge, an denen sich die Gäste verletzten können. Die Lage wird etwas untertrieben geschildert. Wenn man aus dem Alpenland kommt ist man ja einiges gewohnt, aber selbst wir kamen ordentlich ins schwitzen. Der Bus den Berg rauf fährt einmal pro Stunde und leider gibt es nirgendwo einen busplan. Wir haben versucht mit navi und Internet durch das schlechteste Öffentliche Verkehrsnetz einer Großstadt zu kommen, das wir je gesehen haben. Unendliche viele Baustellen, kaum Knotenpunkte und häufiges Umsteigen um ans Ziel zu kommen. Für Ortsansässige bestimmt verständlich mit der Zeit aber für „Touristen“ grausam. Check in und out verlief reibungslos. Haben auch von den Gastgebern nicht viel gesehen, waren aber auch nicht viel da. Nur gehört hat man sie gut. Wer das nicht gewohnt ist, sollte es sich überlegen. Das stetige Poltern über einem ist nicht jedermanns Sache Alles in allem für einen kurzen Tripp zu empfehlen

Leider sehr ungepflegt und extrem Spinnenlastig!
Das Wohnzimmer ist gemütlich eingerichtet und die offene Küche klein,aber zweckmässig.Der Kühlschrank hat seine Glanzzeit hinter sich...der Schimmel in der Tür hätte entfernt werden können.In den anderen beiden Räumen hat man das Gefühl eines Möbelabstelllagers....antike Stücke die auf die Restaurierung warten?!Die Dusche ist ebenfalls teils vermodert und der Stachelkaktus am Badzimmerfenster tristet ein trauriges Dasein!Insgesamt ist die Wohnung sehr ungepflegt.Grosse Löcher im Flurbereich laden grosse schwarze Vielbeiner ein...wir fingen ca.20 Spinnen in 2 Tagen! Uns hats leider so garnicht angesprochen. Leider wsr dies inzwischen schon die 3.Wohnung die wir über fewo- direkt gebucht gaben...aber definitiv die Letzte!

Die Eigentümer sind sehr sehr nett. Aber die Sauberkeit war leider sehr schlecht. Was wir sehr schade fanden. Spinnweben und Staub überall. Die Dusche und Waschbecken wurden warscheinlich noch nie gesäubert. Die Küche unsauber und im Geschirrspüler noch vom Vorgänger das Geschirr. Der Bereich mit Waschmaschine waren kaum begehbar, alles vollgestopft und unordentlich. Wir werden nicht wieder kommen. Die Eigentümerin putzt selber nicht, das macht ein junger Mann der warscheinlich nicht überprüft wird, was er putzt oder eben nicht putzt.

Wir hatten wunderbare Tage in Dresden. Die Wohnung ist sehr urig, gemütlich,wie beschrieben und an sich auch perfekt für einen Urlaub. Man wohnt sehr ruhig und wir durften netterweise auch das Kind im Garten spielen lassen. Leider mangelte es hier und da etwas an Sauberkeit. Schön für sie kommenden Gäste wäre ein Gästehandtuch und etwas mehr Toilettenpapier.

Nette Ferienwohnung
Wie schon beim letzten Mal haben wir den Aufenthalt - trotz Corona - sehr genossen. Die Ferienwohnung liegt abseits der Touristenhochburgen oberhalb der Loschwitzer Schwebebahn. Sie ist nicht modern, sondern sehr urig geschnitten und eingerichtet. Kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag: Ein vernünftiger Schrank (oder auch ein großes Regal) in den Schlafzimmern wäre sehr schön - wir haben hier eher ein wenig "aus dem Koffer" gelebt.
