It was our first time in Dubai.
The Riu Dubai Hotel is located not far from the Gold Market; the area is not crowded, and we enjoyed our time there.
The staff is great: friendly, knowledgeable, always ready to help and answer questions; Russian speaking staff is also available.
The food is various, tasty and the choice is great; you can find what you prefer or to try something new.
The “main restaurant’s” hours are 7:30am to 10:30 for breakfast; 12:30 to 15:30 for lunch and 18:30 to 21:00 for dinner; in between these hours, there are places to get “ snacks” which are a full meal just less varied but tasty. The main restaurant is very crowded and busy.
Therefore, I would recommend to reserve one of two other restaurants if you want to eat more privately because they are only available by reservation and not crowded.
The reservations must be done two days prior.
Taxi are always available: 2 types the TAXI by the meters and the vehicles with NO “ taxi” sign ( they are more expensive). I recommend to get “ Taxi” taxi.
What I do NOT like is the pool hours: all pools are open until 6 pm only !!!!!!
We stayed in Riu for 8 days, and didn’t use the pool at all; every time we were coming back from the tours we booked, the pool was closed already . The bar at the pool was open, but no pool.
This was very uncomfortable 😳
