We stayed at the Swissotel and had a very enjoyable time. The room was clean and spacious with a large king bed. The best part of the hotel is the staff who go out of their way to help you enjoy your stay. The only negative is the room had the shower in the bath and you need to be very careful using to ensure you don’t fall. Maybe challenging for someone with mobility issues.

Big disappointment
Very tired hotel. Total mess due to renovation. Asked four staff of ways to the pool/gym. Got 4 different answers. As a gold memeber asked For upgrade. Got a down grade. Iof a 45 sqm king size bed I got a 30 sq queen size bed, w a bath tub big enough for a foot bath. Has no Swissotel feel to it nor Sofitel. More of a Mercure feeling. Even their graphics on the walls look cheap. Breakfast very bad selection. Over crowded. No atmosphere. A british pub was slightly less crowded. But swissotel, really! I thiught acvor can do better than this. Dusit thani and sofitel are much much better choices here. They sent tons of pre arrival upsell offers but not a word about messy construction.

At check in they could find our reservation - not sure whether this was their problem or Expedia whom we booked through. On entry to our room there was water leaking through the ceiling - to their credit, a maintenance man turned up reasonably quickly and fixed the problem, but then did not arrange for someone to replace a wet towel that we had put down on the floor to catch the water and stop us slipping over. Overall, less than impressed

Good hotel, location is great, just a short walk to Dubai mall. Worked perfectly for our hop on hop off tour. We booked the 3 bedroom room, it’s massive. Says it sleeps 8 but really only sleeps 6. Overall this is a good location and a good hotel. It’s a bit run down but for a central location with a big room it was great value.

The hotel in good area very close to the Dubai mall and burj Khalifa. But our room was on the road and its very noisy all the day and night even when the windows were closed.

Next day i get a scam text posing as Dubai Police issuing me a speeding ticket. For $500. Seems my phone number was sold to scamers.

Great location next to the Burj Khalifa precinct. The two pools were great for the kids and the staff are very helpful. Room is getting tired and needs an update.

Terrible/extremely bad and unacceptable service
First booking for 2 nights from September 13 September to September 15th. I and my husband had another booking with this hotel from September 23rd to October 2nd, 2024. We asked hotel to store our luggage at no charge because we had another confirmed booking. They refused and gave us an estimated charge of $600 cad. We talked to the night manager and at least 6 different staff members but they refused. Second worse and unacceptable thing they did was to blame us for stealing a ten cents worth of pop corn pack from room which we were unaware of its existence. 3rd worse thing was, we were offered free breakfast upon our complaint which we never received. 4th worse thing is, hotel is not even 3 stars, very old.

This was a nice place. The problem I had was when we arrived I had to unload the Uber and put everything on the luggage cart and push it inside. Not a problem. But after I checked in the receptionist said the bellman will take my stuff to the room. I said it wasn’t necessary and she said he had to. After unloading my stuff, and placing the bags however with heavy stuff on top of bags that had breakables in them, this guy stood by for a tip. Tip for what? I did more than half the work. Typical Middle East shenanigans people want money for hardly doing anything.

We stayed in the Apartments and they were FAR from Luxury 5 star. The photos online really do not represent this hotel. Old, dated and smelly. A few issues with the showers which were promptly fixed. Very spacious but not 5 star.
