The hotel is outdated and needs renovation. The pool and loungers are always crowded, and the food is overpriced for what you get. Overall, it falls short of expectations.

Disappointed for the price
Overall it was a lovely stay, however for the price I was underwhelmed. The three key aspects were: 1. service at reception/ room service 2. quality of the room cleans/ new towels 3. service in the bar (some staff were amazing but let down by others) 1. The service was very friendly, however, whenever we called for something, they would say yes but often passed off the task to someone else I.e. room service who didn’t feel it was their job. I had to call reception four times and visit once to be told they couldn’t give us almond milk after being told it was on it way 4 times. 2. The room cleans were disappointing, having to ask for fresh towels each time we needed them (even when they were clearly dirty and left on the floor to indicate so). Also a clear lack of general cleaning of the room during the week. 3. Some of the waiting staff were amazing and friendly but the number of times I wouldn’t receive my drink or have to wait over 30 minutes was very frustrating. The service staff handled this very well, but it kept on happening

Beautiful hotel in a lovely location. Just beware that it’s big and busy. Unless you retire to your room you’ll feel like you’re in the middle of the main tourist beat!

Staff was amazing and accommodating. Great location and short walk to Old Town. You can also take a bus if you didn’t want to walk. The food was amazing. Breakfast buffet was one of the best I have experienced. Beautiful location.

Not very friendly people and bad service. They were trying more to upsell you than to look after your needs. One thing that I found disgusting is the way they profile you when you arrive. They check what you wear, and if you are not dressed in expensive clothes, they treat you like a second-class citizen. Do these people realize that in Canada and the USA, the amount of money we have in our bank accounts is not always reflected in how we dress and vice-versa? We stayed here one night and moved to Dubrovnik Palace for the remainder of our vacation. And we loved it! Will never stay at this place again, nor recommend it to any of our colleagues, associates or friends.
