Gooseberry Trailside Suites property borders Gooseberry State Park, the most popular state park in Minnesota, with access to the Nordic skiing and mountain biking trail system right out the back door. Guest can also jump onto the Gitchi Gami State trail for those who want to bike or rollerblade on a smooth paved trail with access just across the road.

With the close proximity to Gooseberry Falls and Splitrock Lighthouse, as well as Two Harbors, Duluth, and Lutsen, there are year-round opportunities to venture out to go hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, sightseeing, swimming, and much more!

Great for groups both large and small, there are 4 - two-bedroom, one-bath condo-style suites on the property that can be reserved individually or together. Each has its private entrance. Comfy Space with Beautiful View of Lake Superior
Although we have stayed in this 4-plex in the past, the space has been upgraded with new kitchen appliances, dishes, and other items. Bedroom improvements include wall mounted closet options for hanging clothes and more. General improvements are the cordless faux wood blinds on many of the windows, and wall-mounted streaming TV. There is a fireplace inside and a fire-pit outside, along with a sauna that you can reserve time in. I recommend these cabins and the company that hosts. Fall and winter will provide great views of the "big" Lake as well as access to hiking trails. A great getaway for all!

We had an enjoyable stay. We were only there for one night. We wish we had stayed another night. Great location. Easy access to everything we wanted to do. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Loved the trails right outside your door. Very clean! Only issue: the flies. As the sun rose, the flies swarmed the windows like an Amityville Horror Film. Could not see where they were coming in; need an exterminator.

Nice place, quiet, view of Lake Superior out window. Close to state parks, biking. Only downside was the flies in the house. Could not figure out how they were getting in, must have killed 20 every day.

Such a wonderful place to stay. My family stayed here for my wedding weekend at Gooseberry Falls State Park. The rooms are lovely and lots of space, very comfortable and clean, and so close to the park. It was perfect, thank you!

Hikers Paradise
A fabulous retreat right in the midst of premier hiking and exploring of the North Shore. A fully stocked kitchen to fuel your fun, deck and fire ring to chill and relax and luxurious beds to rest your head on to sleep. Our hiking group was thrilled with the property!

We loved our stay in the suites. The location was great! We were able to explore a bit further up into Grand Marais. It was nice to come back and unwind on the deck and enjoy the view! Definitely a great place to stay!

Nice getaway!
This was a quiet, very nicely decorated and stocked place! It was easy to get into and furnished nicely. The only problem we had was it had stormed and the internet was down. It is like a fourplex with a fire pit and sauna and nice window views. The caretaker took good care of us. We would come back again!

This spot was so perfect for access to tettegouche, split rock, and gooseberry! We did lots of hikes then came back and enjoyed fires outside at the fire pit - the wood shed was stocked for us!

This was the ponderous, perfect for me and my 3 kids 8,5 and 2. We will definitely come back next year as we come up this way every year for a long Mother’s Day weekend. The place was clean and well put together the fire place was a hit also facing WiFi and a tv was nice for the day it rained. Loved using the bike trail so close! Definitely recommend.

The view from the kitchen window was absolutely stunning! We really enjoyed the location as it was easy to get to Goosberry Falls State Park and Split Rock Lighthouse. we loved the trails leading into Goosberry in the backyard. The sauna was amazing!
