The fascinating Holy Island, accessed from mainland by Lindisfarne Causeway, is well worth a visit. Edinburgh is just an hour away by train from Berwick-upon-Tweed. There is a golf course at Duns, and many more within the area, and there is a good choice of pubs and restaurants locally. Beach 15 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.

Countryside paradise
The home was beautifully decorated, owners were helpful for foreigners who weren’t familiar with things, very clean and the owners had everything we could have needed. Quiet country setting, perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Hope to come back. Outstanding property!

Peaceful retreat
Spotlessly clean, lots of space in the garden for our dog to explore. Stunning views of local wildlife including deer, hares, rabbits. Stunning location with a lovely homely feel, would 100% visit again and recommend to others.
