Come enjoy Rustic Rest, a four season Pocono Mountains retreat. Built alongside a peaceful creek in 1939, this cabin features log construction in a peaceful and pleasant wooded setting along a trout stream with a variety of recreational opportunities nearby. Relax in the new 6-person hot tub under the stars. Perfect for couples and for families, we have a fully stocked and uniquely furnished home. Pets are welcome with no additional fee. Although remote in feel, we are centrally located to East Stroudsburg, Jim Thorpe, Camelback, Shawnee, Delaware Water Gap and most attractions.
Two branches of Marshalls Creek flow through the property with over 350 feet of stream frontage. The creek has good populations of brown, brook and rainbow trout year-round. In addition, we are within a short drive from blue ribbon trout streams such as the Brodhead, Bushkill, Big Pocono, McMichaels and more.
We have three bedrooms with a double, queen and king beds and a loft overlooks the living room and offers a futon bed and a twin bed with a trundle. This space makes a wonderful reading area and/or fourth bedroom. An old time arcade machine (Space Invaders!) and Atari console are available.
The upstairs bathroom features a clawfoot bathtub.
A wood-burning fireplace in the living room and a wood-burning stove on the enclosed back porch help chase away the chill.
You can enjoy the hot tub anytime of day—and it's open year round. A towel warmer inside the back porch, just steps from the new 6-person hot tub, is available for your comfort.
Spotlights light up the Woods of Wisdom in the backyard. A flowing creek, picnic tables, fire pit, and hammock with several seating areas make spending time outdoors a delight.
We provide wood for the fireplace, wood stove and fire pit and also provide propane for the grill.
We are located right off of 209 in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, very close to waterfalls, Delaware Water Gap, skiing and many awesome attractions. Spend your entire stay at Rustic Rest or explore the area's attractions.
Safety Devices:
We have four security cameras located on the property. One faces the front walk and lower part of the driveway. One faces the garage and the upper driveway. One faces the stream on the far side of the house to monitor the water level. The last camera is in the lean-to. They will be on.
