Absolutely fantastic stay here! Room lovely, extremely clean and comfortable beds, bathtub an extra bonus. Tea making facilties and biscuits a nice touch. Very quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was absolutely perfect, good choice of freshly cooked hot food, cereals, pastries and a big teapot of delicious tea. I must make a special mention to the restaurant Manager! She qas extremely busy but greeted us with a warm welcome and smile and was just lovely, a real asset to the hotel! All waiting staff were polite very efficient and worked really hard ro look after a lot of guests. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel ro everyone visiting Edinburgh. Buses everyb15 minutes from bus stop right outside the hotel into the city centre and only £2.00 pp! Also a 25 minutes walk to Portobello Beach which is a really lovely seaside with great beaxh and lots of coffee she with amazing views of the beach and sea. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful, well done to you all.

The staff were polite and professional. Breakfast, the pool and spa, and fitness areas were fabulous. The location was convenient for walking to the beach area of Portobello and restaurants as well as having a bus stop located right next to the car park. Our only complaint was having to have our room card reset a few times and some of the patrons were a little loud.

A bit far away from downtown Edinburgh. No shops or restaurants nearby except one bistro that is on the same property. But beach is close by. The rooms are spacious and bed comfy. Bathroom is big but tub shower trickles. Don't know if there is a water pressure issue in Edinburgh. The staff is nice and helpful. Didn't eat at the hotel for breakfast so can't say how it was. Just stayed for couple nights. Overall it's a good hotel but surprisingly expensive considering how far it is from downtown.

Overall we enjoyed our stay with friendly helpful staff making it much better. The rooms and layout are a bit basic and outdated with very noisy toilet fans in all our rooms and irritating key cards which kept failing. I think the bar was uncomfortable but the restaurant was good and the spa was a big bonus. Thank you all though for a friendly stay.

Me and my sister stayed here because we were in Edinburgh for lord of the dance! The staff were so warm and welcoming made you feel at home, nothing was too much for them, the bonus part was we were able to use the jacuzzi aswell at no extra costs happy days, breakfast was fresh and hot,,we'd definitely return lovely place.

Just back from a 2 day stay at hotel,the hotel.was ok,rooms were very tired looking with no.fridge in them which was a big let down for cold drinks etc,as room was very warm,beds were not the comfiest either. Restaraunt is very overpriced. Was there with 3 people and 3 of us never finished the meal,steak pie was very oversalted,macaroni was tasteless....fish and chips i must admit was very good. Upon leaving young girl on reception just took our room card off of us and never even asked if we enjoyed our stay..... Hence why have given it 2 stars. Dont think i will be returning any time soon.
