Not recommended
I've been travelling abroad for work for over 30 years, but this is the first time I've stayed in such a small room. It's so small I think it's a joke. The curtain in the circular shower area sticks to your body, so you can't wash yourself. It's not cheap, there's no housekeeping, and I definitely can't recommend this hotel.

Great if all you need is a room with a bed and a bathroom. Green light wouldn’t turn off overnight so the room was never dark. Staff said the light cannot be switched off and is the same in every room. Bring an eye mask.

Great location and value for the time of year I visited (Fringe Festival). Room was really small and was difficult to move around, especially for those on the larger side. However it suited everything I needed for the trip

Edinburgh small room
The room was extremely small for 2 people. There were no hooks on the wall to hang anything and be able to look in the mirror. On the plus side, the location was perfect!

I asked for the temperature to be lowered and I was told it was being done, but it was never lowered. I don't know what was happening with the plumbing, but all hours of the day and night there was the sound of water collecting and being pushed through something.

Horrible hotel experience - avoid at all costs!
Worst hotel experience of my life. I arrived around 5pm, checked in, shown to my room, everything was fine. I unpacked, put on some TV, and chilled out for an hour before heading out for some dinner. At 7pm, I get a call from the hotel that I must urgently return as something has happened - the details are not given, so I assume the worst and drop what I am doing to run back to the hotel. Upon arriving, the woman takes me up to my room and stands over me while telling me to pack my things quickly. I oblige, still not sure what is happening, as she takes me to another room upstairs. She tells me another couple have checked in who should be in my room. I am annoyed but accommodate the request as it’s not such a big deal, just a bit odd. Shortly after, I realise my TV is not working so I go downstairs to reception to ask for help. A man comes up to my room, stands on my bed and attempts to fix the TV (turning it off and on again, unplugging it, same as I had tried myself) and agrees it does not work. He says he will call a technician to fix it tomorrow. (It is never fixed). I ask if there are any other rooms available and explain I am a solo traveller here for an appointment. My plan is to stay in the hotel, watch TV and relax - I am not a tourist and here alone. I felt like I was being laughed at by the staff, who were unable to move me to another room or fix the TV. By now, it is late; my dinner plans ruined, and stuck in a room with no windows, no TV, and no AC.

Only saving grace of hotel was a borrowed fan at my request . Tons of steps to lug bags up without anyone to help. Smallest room ever. Sitting on the toilet you are literally in the shower. Too expensive to not have any amenities nor service. Poor wifi service, few channels on TV with pixelated images. Window doesn't open. Luggage is on the bed as there isn't floor space. Step in the door, you are on the bed. Open the bathroom door you can't get to the front door. Would never recommend this hotel, which is not easy in any way.

Ideal location . Rooms very small have to climb over the beds to get in and out of them . Would not recommend to older customers. Fortunately we booked a room with a window. Without a window the rooms are just pods . The hotel does the job if you are out all day and just need a bed and shower .

The hotel is very centrally located on Princes St and if you are lucky enough to book a room with a street view you get a fantastic view of the castle. We booked a window room and were lucky enough to get a five window room overlooking Princes St and a magnificient view of the castle. The room was very basic and very small, we could not move around without one of us sitting on the bed (there were 2 of us), however it was clean and had towels and shower gel. There are no kettles but there is a tea and coffee machine in reception which costs £1 for a cup. The staff were fantastic, really sorry that we didnt get her name but the Polish receptionist was a dream and so helpful. In summary, you need to realise this is a hotel with very very small rooms but in a brilliant position on Princes St. If you intend to spend a lot of downtime in your room this is not for you, but if you are coming to see Edinburgh and need somewhere just to lay your head in a great location this is for you.

No room for medical equipment
Your small hotels don't seem to cater for those who use medical equipment during the night. There is not enough space next to the bed to place the equipment.

The hotel was could do with being refreshed, parts of the handrail on the stairs were missing, and the rooms would benefit from double glazing as you are next to a busy main road and shopping area and can hear traffic both day and night. The room itself was tiny with only a bed and a pod which housed the toilet and shower facilities anyone mobility issues could struggle to be comfortable.
