Melville Castle provided us with an unforgettable stay! Surrounded by a large wooded area, it offers lovely trails for walks. Beautiful and the castle itself feels true to its theme. The food was delicious as well.

A beautiful Castle in magnificent surroundings. Every room is filled with fascinating objects, the bedrooms are beautifully decorated. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious, as was breakfast, all the staff we encountered were exceptionally welcoming and nothing was any bother. There was a wedding happening during our stay and the hotel staff managed everything with calm, friendly ease. The only downside was the room had no windows that could open, and after a hot sunny day it was very warm. Reception did give us a fan, which really only circulated the warm air. An unusual occuance in Scotland! Highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

The building is wonderful as are the grounds very traditional. food is great and has a very nice 24hr Bar But what makes this place amazing is the staff very friendly and will bend over backwards to make sure you’re ok. Michelle at reception went above and beyond she was absolutely amazing and made sure our difficult requests were catered for

The grounds are absolutely stunning. Lots of walking/hiking paths into beautiful wooded areas. The grounds make the experience so peaceful. All of the staff were very kind and helpful. Our room faced the garden and it was lovely. The room description did not mention the flight of stairs in our room. That would have been helpful to know.

Loved the uniqueness with it being a castle. Wish we were able to stay longer. The stairs were difficult to manage with our large suitcases. Not much you can do with it being an old building though.

Excellent location to have a relaxing time. Could do with having on tap beer in the bar and not having garbage and laundry trucks outside our bedroom window early in the morning.
