When we first arrived our first room had a bug in the bed (unsure if it was a bedbug or carpet beetle). Staff moved us rooms quickly and upgraded us which was great but even the second room had stains on the bedding, splatter marks on the wall, sink didn’t drain.. once I checked out I asked for a receipt and was told since I booked and paid through Expedia that I could not have one. When I got home I looked at my credit card and I was charged by the hotel for my stay despite paying for it through Expedia 2 months ago…

We had requested early check in and although we understand that the hotel was busy the night before, the front desk clerk was not even willing to see if our room was available, stating "check in is at 4pm" She took our luggage but gave us a snide frustrated look when we said we needed some things out of it and would have to use the lobby to open our luggage. Two hours later, our room was still not ready, and again she told us that check in was "4pm" so we asked to speak to a manager. It still took over an hour to get into our room but at least the manager was able to arrange that before 4pm. The room was huge but the hotel is a lot farther from Rogers Place than I thought and there is a cannabis and liquor store outside the door with many homeless/addicts hanging around. I did not feel safe in the area and will not return to this hotel.
