2 bedroom holiday home, best location between Granada and Costa Tropical. Edge of village, great views over the Lecrin Valley/Sierra Nevada (Granada-Costa Tropical, fly to Granada/Malaga), apartment with private terrace, shared pool (open Easter to October), WiFi, lots of sun & local tapas.

We have been living in the Valley of Lecrin for nearly thirty years, so we can offer lots of advice on sightseeing and activities, and we have other apartments which also offer comfort, sunny terraces, peace and quiet, well equipped kitchens and WiFi Internet.

Pinos del Valle is in the Valley of Lecrin, 30 minutes drive to the Costa Tropical, the city of Granada and the Sierra Nevada Pueblos Blancos. It has a bar/restaurant, other cultural facilities, and shops all within walking distance of our apartment.

The entrance is through a semi private patio with large wooden doors to the street. This patio/pool is shared with five other holiday homes, all of which we manage

Entering the apartment there is an open plan living room, kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is equipped with electric hob/oven, fridge freezer, microwave cooker, and plenty of work surface and cupboards.

In the living room area there are sofas/armchairs, and coffee table. The house has table and chairs for four, music centre, and TV. The terrace also has a table and chairs, and views of the Lecrin Valley and the Sierra Nevada beyond.

There is a double bedroom, a twin bedded room and shower room. The private terrace overlooks the Valley of Lecrin with views of Sierra Nevada, there is also outdoor seating in the pool patio.

Jardines de Pinos is situated on a corner of the village with clear views to the north, east and west overlooking the Valley to the Sierra Nevada. The pool faces south. It is a quiet area which benefits from easy car access and easy parking within 50 mt. The village has a cash machine, two pharmacies, two churches and several supermarkets; one famous as a butcher is open Sunday am.

The village is ideally placed for taking day trips to Granada, the beaches of the Costa Tropical, or the lush scenery of the Alpujarras. Bar Venecia in the village offers delicious tapas, free with the drinks, and a lovely terrace overlooking the lower part of the village and the fotothills to the south

Heating in the apartment is a mixture of electric and gas heaters. We supply all heating appliances, as well as crockery and bedlinen - everything you need.

The Valley of Lecrin is a startlingly beautiful area which occupies one of the most privileged positions in Spain. The area itself is midway between the Costa Tropical, famous for its verdant cultivation of exotic fruits and sugar cane, and the city of Granada, home to the Alhambra and the Albaicin, SpainĀ“s most potent historic attractions.

So much history abounds around the city of Granada that it would be impossible to tell all here. Home to the last empire of SpainĀ“s Moorish era, Granada was finally taken by Ferdinand and Isabella in 1492 after more than 700 years of Moorish civilisation, which shaped the city and the area for ever.

All of Granada's attractions are within easy reach of the house, as are the various beaches and resorts of the Costa Tropical. Last but not least, the south facing villages of the Sierra Nevada are also a short drive away. This area, known as the Alpujarra, has been written about by Gerald Brenan ('South from Granada') and Chris Stewart ('Driving Over Lemons').

Pinos del Valle was once a most prosperous village in the olive and almond growing zone of the Valley of Lecrin. Today the agriculture is still important and the village is celebrating its culture by opening an Olive Museum just around the corner. In addition, locally, there are numerous fiestas often at weekends which feature local music, drinks, flamenco, and gastronomy.

Since 1990 the restaurant offer in the Valley has improved gradually. Pinos boast two bars which both serve up excellent tapas free of charge with every drink. One is very close to Jardines, the other is below the village overlooking the Beznar lake.

An authentic taste of Spain
Fantasic apartment with shared garden/patio & pool. Private sun terrace. Kitchen had everything you needed. Comfortable bed. Shared sense of friendliness with other guests. Host greeted us & showed us 2x shops, bakery, framcia & local bar in village. Left us feeling we could contact them for any further information or advice. Inland location, 30mins from Costa Tropical. Walking, cycling routes all around. Plenty of local bars to have a drink & sample tapas. ONLY REGRET we only book a 1 wk stay.

Great budget accommodation
If your looking for a bit of luxury your barking up the wrong tree, but this is a great budget home that has nearly everything you would need. Tim is a great communicator and will willingly help you to familiarise you with the town. Also met some other great traveler's who were also staying there. It is a very friendly community. Only downside was there was only street parking, although we easily found a park. I would recommend this to those who are not too fussy. It was clean and comfortable.

Wonderful little oasis in a great, off-the-beaten-track location.
We had a fabulous stay at Tim and Maria's place in Pinos del Valle. The location was perfect for us - offering a mix of Sierra Nevada wilderness, a good selection of beaches and some super city culture up in Granada - all within a half hour drive. The accommodation was great; basic but it had everything we needed. Maria helped us toddler-proof the main floor by rearranging some furniture when we arrived and there was loads of space downstairs for bikes etc. Having balconies on all sides ensures you can always find the sun - or shade for that matter!! The pool was wonderful and the terrace area beautifully looked after with so many flowers. There's a great little park just round the corner too - so a good location for families.

Er war ein super Host. Super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Hat uns mit Tips zu Restaurant und Ausflugmƶglichkeiten versorgt. Wir kommen gern wieder.
