Sunset Ride Ranch /Foreman's house

Come enjoy our very private 1450 sq ft home with an open floor plan located in Elgin, 5 miles from the center of Sonoita. Master bedroom has a king bed, large walk-in closet, en-suite bathroom has a sunken tub and a separate shower. Second bedroom has a queen bed and large closet. Both bedrooms have doors that lead to the outside porch. Second bathroom has a tub/shower combination.
The open floor plan has a full kitchen stocked and ready for cooking and dining. The living and dining areas have large windows and doors which open to a covered porch where beautiful sunrises and sunsets can be enjoyed. Wood pellet stove in living area. Couch converts to queen sleeper. The night skies are a treat for stargazers. The property is tucked away on 8.5 very private acres. Relax on the porch swing, enjoying the view of the "Biscuit" mountain. Well behaved dogs are welcome with Pet Fee. Horse facilities and horse trailer parking are available. There are 2 outdoor dining tables as well as an outside fire pit.
This home is located in the middle of Sonoita and Elgin wine country with many vineyards, breweries, and a mead manufacturer. There are also several restaurants close by.
The area is known for our wineries and tasting rooms, hunting, ranching, bird watching, and dark skies. Wonderful hiking opportunities are in the immediate and surrounding area including access to several Arizona trail head locations. Close proximity to The Coronado National Forest offers a wide variety of outdoor recreational activities. Patagonia Lake State Park is about 30 minutes away and Parker Canyon Lake is about 50 minutes away.
Sierra Vista is 45 minutes away and provides shopping, dining and movies. The historic towns of Tombstone, Bisbee and Tubac, located nearby, are wonderful day excursions to experience the western history that shaped our region and state. Kartchner Caverns State Park is 35 minutes away. The living cave is an amazing tour. It does require a reservation.
We are taking extra precautions when cleaning the property after guest visits. Aside from using cleaning disinfectants, we also run a commercial grade ozone generator between guests.

Perfect Location!
The house was in a great location with the wine tasting we wanted to do in Sonoita! Lori and Chris were wonderful and made our stay comfortable and easy. The home was perfect for two couples and it was nice to have a garage to park our car in and loved that the property was gated. The views were beautiful and the area is peaceful. We would stay here again! Thank you Lori and Chris!

Perfect getaway
This was the perfect house & location for our girls wine trip. There was more than enough room for the 4 of us and the house was clean & the beds were really comfortable! Lovely place with all you need
Party of four enjoyed our two night stay at this wonderful spot. Much better than being at a hotel, over 1400 ft.², two bedroom, two bath, kitchen and living room gives space for all to enjoy. The property was private, extremely clean, had absolutely incredible views, covered outdoor patio with sitting areas and a swing. Perfect place to stay while visiting wine country. Each day we cooked dinner and breakfast in the open kitchen and enjoyed the beautiful stars at night. We met the hosts who own the winery Sunset Ride in town and they were very welcoming and we had a blast during our tasting with them!

Perfect Wine Country Getaway
We were excited to have booked this property when we found it, and we were not disappointed! The property is huge and we and our dog very much enjoyed walking it. It's so close to a handful of great wineries. We are VRBO owners ourselves and recognize a well-managed property when we see it. We were very impressed with the personal touches, handwritten notes, and overall hospitality. The owners have also recently opened their own tasting room in town - Sunset Ride Wine. We highly recommend it, and it gave us a chance to meet our hosts, who are lovely people. This will be our spot when we return to Sonoita!

Lori and Chris are gracious and generous hosts for this very clean and comfortable house. They were attentive to us and our needs in a friendly, easy-going, and sensitive way. We felt right at home during our three-week stay. The amenities were excellent; very comfortable beds and linens; quality appliances, pots, pans, utensils, dishes, flatware, and bathroom supplies; and spacious bright, pleasant rooms. The porches and yard allow you to enjoy the beautiful setting, mountain views, and overall ambience of Arizona's high desert and wine country. We found this to be an excellent place to settle in and relax while we explored, hiked, biked, and bird-watched in the nearby towns, national and state parks, forests, conservation areas, and Elgin-Sonoita neighborhood. A convenient base for sampling the excellent offerings of the many nearby wineries, breweries, and distilleries, especially those of Sunset Ride Wines in Sonoita. We returned home relaxed, refreshed, and recharged. We highly recommend the Foreman's House not only for its physical amenities but also for the personal touch of Lori and Chris, their friends, and the many other nice folks that we met in the area.

AZ Perfection
The house and property are just perfect with great views, easy access to the Coronado NF, quiet location and the best hosts we've ever had!
