We love to go camping, stay up late, and look at the stars. I’m getting too old to deal with all of the camping hassles. This cabin is remote and has power, heat, showers, electricity, internet, and walls that would keep bears out but, NO cell service. The first night was perfect; looking at the stars was the whole reason for our trip. The Milky Way was on full display.
Two bedrooms with beds, sheets blankets, better than a tent. Kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee pot & toaster, better than a tent. Indoor toilet & hot shower, better than a tent. Internet & electricity, better than a tent.
The cabin floor was slanted; ants in the silverware; the power/heat/internet/hot-cold water went out for 10 hours; we had rain/wind/thunder/lightning/hail and even snow in June. Even with all of that, it was better than being in a tent.
Pro Tips: Download some shows or movies on your devices before you leave your house. Fill containers with water. Take flashlights and battery banks. Go potty and take a shower before any storm.
I guess what I am trying to get across to anyone still reading this is. The stars are amazing here when you can see them and no matter what issues we had while we were here, it was better than having those issues in a tent.
P.S. DO NOT take American River RD from Elk City to the cabin, you’re gonna have a bad time. Take ELK CREEK RD.
I still have 100 characters left so, check out the general store in town, it's awesome. Ok, byeeeee
