Village on Mink River Road

This 1930's vertical log cottage has been remodeled and added on to. It is located about a mile outside of Ellison Bay on Mink River Road. It is on a 5 acre piece of property and a nice quiet setting.
The cottage has a wrap around porch to enjoy your morning coffee.
The cottage is decorated with antique furnishings.
There is a full size kitchen with all that is needed to enjoy your stay.
The bathroom has a 48" shower. In the living room there a gas fireplace.
The bedroom downstairs has a full size bed. There is also a large whirlpool in the bedroom.
Upstairs there are two beds, one full and one twin.

Cabin is very clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. You can appreciate that much love was put into making if a perfect gateway. Property is a short distance from the Ellison Bay marina and the village center. You have to bring your own towels and toiletries. Overall, great place to unwind.

Went on a weekend getaway girls’ trip for Labor Day weekend. The house was perfect. Great location. Convenient to get to our one day trip up to Washington Island and equally convenient to access Sister Bay and all of the other towns on the peninsula. Excellent host. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect for people who don't want to see people
I may be the only one, but I don't come to Door County for the stores and restaurants. I come to DC for solitude (alone with my family) and to get close to nature. This property offers both. I sat on the front porch reading my Bible each morning as the birds were singing and it was paradise. My family got to watch the stars from the lawn and my daughter loved all of the butterflies! It was close enough to the main strip so that you didn't feel cut off, but secluded enough to feel like you are alone in the woods. Also, the house has a great history which is fun. I loved hearing about the family that used to live there. What a treasure.

Country Haven was the perfect location for a Door Co visit. The cabin was clean, comfortable and well equipped for a group of five. The porch was the perfect place for morning coffee. A deer was a welcome visitor. It was a quiet and cozy setting after busy days of shopping and siteseeing.

We loved how well furnished the kitchen was; ate most of our meals there! The porch is a tranquil place. Saw deer most mornings!! This was our second time staying at Country Haven; enjoyed both times!! Like the trail that was groomed through the woods. Highly recommend this cottage!!

Very nice place to stay! Only suggestion I would make is that the owner may want to look into possibly changing her rugs in there as the place had a heavy urine odor. Possibly from animals? Otherwise, very nice!

House was very neat and clean. Owners were easy to get ahold of. Plenty of space and loved the porch! Bring your own drinking water since many places in door county have sulfur smelling water. Great relaxing stay!
