Amazing place!
This place is incredible! The pictures don’t do it justice either. Historic yet modern. Hosted a small game night for my birthday with friends and the space was absolutely perfect. Nice big couch and table perfect for entertaining. The hot tub was also nice! Pat & Cheryl have great communication as hosts and they truly thought of everything to make the stay comfortable.

Awesome experience
My hubby and I travel frequently and we both said this is one of the coolest places we have stayed! The church is one of a kind and the remodel couldn’t have been done nicer to keep the history and provide all the comforts of home. Hosts are very responsive and helpful. They truly have thought of everything to make your trip away from home, feel just like home. I cannot say enough great things about our stay! Can’t wait to come back again!

Location, location, location.
Fantastic non-traditional property. Great setup for a family. Comfortable and has everything you need in the kitchen. But heres the best part - you are 2 minutes from the heart of downtown by foot. Coffee, restaurants, breweries, ice cream. . . . We drove to a function but walked the rest of the weekend. Just perfect. We even had a peak at Mt. Rainier from the chairs on the deck while drinking coffee.

Great Location
Loved how close we were to downtown shopping and dining! The house was beautiful with plenty of space and everything we needed for our family get together. The 2 bedrooms upstairs are adjoining, and each has its own access stairway. Both bathrooms and the primary bedroom are located on the ground floor. The bedrooms lack some privacy but the beds were comfortable. We loved our stay here and hope to return!

This house is amazing and the owners have a knack for style. Their attention details makes for a wonderful getaway. We have stayed at many homes over the years and very few, if any, are as comfortable as this. It’s a home away from home and more. We will continue to come back to this special place!

Absolute Gem of a Home in Enumclaw, WA
We just got back from a 3 day, 2 night stay in the Old Hope Church turned modern day home in Enumclaw. It was out first time to this area and we were in town for a family wedding. This coincided with the annual town fair, which was a fun surprise. Pat & Cheryl have done an extraordinary job renovating this historic structure. From the outside looking in, it's hard to imagine how to maximize the space inside a small church building. Almost every inch of this place seemed to be purposefully designed or thought about. It was such a unique experience and everyone LOVED it. We had two very young kids (1 and 5), which a historic property like this might be a death trap in other circumstances. There were multiple safety precautions taken for guests with young children (and pets)... we especially appreciated the fact they had 4 different gates to block access up and downstairs. This home has all the amenities that would make you feel like you've found a home away from home. There are modern appliances, a full kitchen, coffee & tea, a hot tub, small play structure for the kids... and more. One quick note about the host... Pat & Cheryl are incredible. From being nearly real-time responsive across VRBO & email messages, taking care of requests (i.e. they went out and purchased an extremely nice high chair for my toddler to use; host also accommodated early check-in to coincide with nap schedules). If you happen to be browsing for properties in or around Enumclaw, look no further

A total gem!
We were in town for a concert and needed something nearby to house the 3 couples and this was perfect! A super neat, renovated building in a nice little neighborhood. We had everything we needed and just enjoyed gathering in the living room and kitchen area to hang out and talk. Highly recommend this quaint "church" getaway!

Family Gathering Gem
We had a lot of family in town and everyone stayed there except for me. The rest of them had hotel rooms, which was only a walking distance away. I was able to host 20 family members for dinner and we were able to gather in one space and talk for several hours. Everyone was stunned by the amazing love and grace and positive energy in the building. We could feel the prayers embedded in the walls. It was Healing.

Get me to the church on time!
What a cool place to stay! From the outside it’s a historic church, and inside it’s more like Pottery Barn. The high-arched ceilings of the great room make you believe in heaven. The huge Smart-TV, the comfy couches, the dining table, and the oversized kitchen counters all make this room the spot to spend your sabbatical. But if you need to sleep, there’s a tall king bed in the master, and two more smaller bedrooms upstairs in what was probably the old choir loft. The well-stocked bathroom and powder room feature modern fixtures. And in good weather, the fenced yard is wonderful, with a huge hot tub, and a pergola-covered table for outdoor meals or an evening glass of sacramental wine. The hosts offered quick, clear, and responsive communication, as well as extra touches like board games, a coffee bar, and dog-friendly features like beds, bowls, toys, and built-in gates. The location is only about 3 blocks from downtown, with restaurants, shops, bars and ice cream, which makes for a nice walk, and offers great views of Mt Rainier. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back again. Highly recommended!

Historic
We needed to book pet-friendly lodging for a last-minute business trip to Puyallup. We stumbled upon this old church in Enumclaw and were in for a pleasant surprise. Our journey began navigating through a late winters storm. We landed at the old historical church immersed in snowfall and couldn’t have asked for a more cozy, welcoming, and hospitable stay. The vacation rental paired with the quaint and vibrant town of Enumclaw made for a special Valentine’s Day get away and our puppy’s 1st birthday. The oldest church in Enumclaw, simply divine. We were greeted with locally made salted caramel, a fine personal touch from the hosts. The space was clean as a whistle. The gorgeous wood flooring and unique layout created a rustic feel. Pet-friendly gates, doggie beds, and a quaint back yard helped our puppy feel at home. Warm blankets, clean towels, and modernized appliances are a lovely addition. We enjoyed evenings curled up on the comfy couch with a good book and cup of coffee from the coffee hutch. Historical photographs of the church and its congregations give the visitor a sense of context and connection to the town of Enumclaw. Every morning we enjoyed a walk in the quiet, peaceful streets with our puppy. We marveled at many of the vintage houses with added restorations and themes of white garden lights strung throughout the properties. Within walking distance, El Camino’s serves a fine Mexican lunch with enormous portions. Trapper’s Sushi prepared a generous selection of fresh sushi rolls so delicious we dined two nights in a row! I highly recommend ‘The Puyallup’ roll, a cooked, tempura variation. Also, The Magickal Earth, delightful to wander around, as we found souvenirs of stone bracelets w/ quartz and turquois stones as well as a travel size Tibetan singing bowl. The Sequel Books & Espresso bookstore offers a curated selection of used books and warm chairs to enjoy a sip coffee. Thank you for a one-of-a-kind vacation rental experience at The Old Church of Enumclaw. We look forward to a return visit; enjoying the peace and simplicity of Enumclaw and relaxing in your little sanctuary. Victoria, Ian, & Suzie
