Onward!

We are so happy to provide our lovely sanctuary as a base camp for enjoying Rocky Mountain National Park. Our luxury log home, built in 1995, is a gorgeous 2850 square-foot mountain paradise, sitting on the banks of the Big Thompson River with a hot tub and massive covered deck.

Our past guests have raved:

"... If you want a one-of-a-kind stay in beautiful Estes Park you cannot go wrong with Carole's place. From the moment you step in the door you will be blown away by the Western decor of this lavishly appointed, luxury log home." - Kevin

"... I have found when reading these reviews, sometimes 'less is more.' So all I need to say is this: this cabin is by far the best mountain cabin and peaceful retreat I’ve ever stayed at in the Rocky Mountains. And I’ve stayed in a lot of cabins. Book it. You will love it." - Todd

"... This beautiful log cabin is a MUST! Heated floors, big huge windows and super clean. I will definitely stay here again. BOOK NOW!" - Jackie

"... She has a big hot tub outside which was so relaxing even when it was snowing outside. We were able to cook every meal so her kitchen is set up with enough tools to cook for many people. We had the best time and walked away with amazing memories and laughter! Thank you for having us again!" - Boglarka

The ten-acre lot backs up to the National Park, so you're almost guaranteed to see elk, bear or deer. Several picnic and seating areas in the yard allow you to relax to the sounds of the river, which you can also fish.

The home is just minutes from the Beaver Meadows entry gate to the National Park, and just a few more minutes to downtown Estes Park. Being on the west side of town is a wonderful bonus, allowing you to avoid traffic and just relax.

Highlights include

+ 4 bedrooms
+ Vaulted great room with fireplace
+ TV room with huge smart TV
+ BBQ, hot tub, and huge covered deck
+ Fully appointed kitchen
+ Three bathrooms (only 2 have showers)
+ Gorgeous dining area

BEDROOMS

The main floor offers a bedroom with a bunk bed (single and full) that opens onto the deck, plus a large king bedroom with a large smart TV. The second floor offers a bedroom with a queen, plus a master suite with a huge king bed, and an en-suite bathroom (jetted tub but currently no shower, though we are working to install that). There's also an upstairs sleeping area with a pullout sofa.

BATHROOM

The home features a bathroom with a shower/tub on the first floor, a bathroom with just a shower on the second floor, and an en suite bathroom with tub (no shower) in the second floor master.

KITCHEN/DINING

The home has a gorgeous, fully equipped kitchen with tons of appliances for all your cooking and vacation meal prep. There's a giant fridge, pantry, and lots of plates and dishes for entertaining. There are two dining areas, one for informal meals right off the kitchen, and a dining room near the great room for special family gatherings. Additionally you can eat outside next to the hot tub or on the deck.

ENTERTAINMENT

We have books, games and puzzles throughout for entertainment, plus a TV/living room with a huge flat screen smart TV and a Roku box. We also have televisions in both king bedrooms, plus a television in the upstairs sleeping loft.

LAUNDRY

We have full size washer and dryer that you are free to use.

Guest have access to our entire property, minus our garage. That includes 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, our huge shaded wraparound deck, our riverfront yard, hot tub, and the land backing up onto Giant Track Mountain.

My husband and I visit occasionally but have turned over management to Nathan our co-hosts. They are long time Estes Park locals with a wealth of information.

Our home is in a gorgeous little neighborhood on the Big Thompson River, and our property is riverfront and also backs up to Giant Track Mountain. Giant Track is a huge open space that eventually backs up to parts of Rocky Mountain National Park so there's a lot of wildlife to spot. The Big Thompson is easily fished from our house provided you have a permit.

It's pretty easy to get around here, but if you want to take public transport, you can walk exactly 1 mile to the Elk Meadow Lodge and hop aboard the free summer shuttle that goes all over town and into the National Park.

WIFI SPEED

This unit is in a neighborhood that has yet to get fiber. We have a DSL connection. It is fast enough to stream high def video to 3 simultaneous televisions, but may cause problems for heavy downloaders or families with multiple children home schooling.

NOISE

This unit is in a quiet neighborhood and we really, really want to maintain great relationships with our neighbors. Please be respectful of your noise level! If you're on the deck at night, please keep the conversation levels low. Note that we use a NoiseAware, which measures sound levels and alerts our team if things are too loud. It does not record content so your privacy is 100% guaranteed. Guests are not to unplug it (and our managers will also be alerted if that happens). You can read more about this device by searching for NoiseAware on the Internet.

NONPAYING GUESTS

Insurance forbids nonpaying and non-registered guests on property. There are motion sensitive security cameras on the outside of the building which will pick up nonpaying guests.

AIR CONDITIONER

Estes has a mild mountain climate in the summers but from time to time it can get hot. Like nearly every other home in town, there’s no A/C. The cool mountain breeze cools the home off quickly in the evenings.
No pets, no smoking, no outside fires, no illegal internet use, no parties, no unauthorized guests, AWD/4WD recommended in winter, bathe before hot tub use and shock with supplied chemicals after, and run dishwasher and start 1 load of laundry at checkout to keep fees low..

The booking was easy, communication through the stay was easy, ending the stay was easy, and the place was even bigger and more homey than the pictures led on. My new bride said it was perfect so that's all the review I need😊

This was the perfect location for our Estes Park getaway! Hearing (and seeing) the river was wonderful. The hot tub was the cleanest we’ve ever seen for a rental property! The property management company was great with timely responses.

The house was almost perfect. We just had 3 issues, internet connection was not good, bed upstairs in master suite needs replacing, and my surprise was the lack of wine glasses and martini glasses and kitchen was dated and small for the house 🤔but the porch, patio, hot tub and overall living space was great, love the river sound!

Tranquil river sounds
The property was beautiful and clean. The beds and pillows were comfy. We all slept with the windows open to listen to the sound of the river at night. We woke up early to drink coffee on the large riverfront porch and then headed a few minutes down the road to Rocky Mountain National Park. It was the perfect place to stay and we'd happily return.

Lovely Place
We stayed in April and had the area to ourselves. The property was great. The river was nice. Really not much to complain about other than a few little things. The heat was not working in one bedroom but we had a spare. Had to buy a sharp kitchen knife. The internet was pretty terrible but we weren't streaming videos, etc. Otherwise, it was great. I would go back without hesitation.

Perfect Estes Getaway
You will not be disappointed with this beautiful log home just a few miles from downtown Estes and the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. It was huge! Top of the line custom furniture, a well-appointed kitchen, and the hot tub is the cherry on top! We explored the property with the little ones in our group—from a hike up the steep snowy hill on one side, down to the babbling river (the size of a brook here) on the other. The house comfortably slept our 8, and the kids had options each night about where to sleep. The two living spaces on the main floor allow everyone to get some space if needed, and there’s also an open area loft upstairs as another option. The large wood-burning fireplace in the main living room was a go-to every evening for after-dinner cocktails before heading out to the hot tub under the stars (and sometimes return to afterward!). This home, and the manager/owners we interacted with (by text or phone call only—everything else was “touch less”) were fantastic. Perfect location for all the fun Estes offers. We will be back!

BEAUTIFUL Hideaway
We stayed here during an extremely cold snowy time. The house was so cozy, especially the super warm heated floors. The decor is cabin-perfect, hot tub was toasty warm after stepping through the snow, all seating very comfortable, and tons of spaces to hang out. I'm sure it would be wonderful in the summer when you can see and hear the stream.

DEC 4-11 trip to Estes Park
Big beautiful house, all the wood work is amazing. Fireplace was top notch. Hot tub was great, sitting in there with snowflakes falling was a bucket list item. Only complaint is the towels. Very cheap thin scratchy towels. Luxury place should have better bath towels. Refrigerator was a little small but doable. Overall a very good experience. The creek down below the house is beautiful also, especially in the snow.
