This property had an interesting check in procedure via a video kiosk that scanned my ID and credit card, and spit out a room key. It made me skip a return trip to inform them of wet carpeting in my room by the window as it felt impersonal and I didn't think they were actually around the property anyway. The renovations were very nice and encompassed the complete room and bath making for a clean comfortable stay. I was disappointed in that I paid for an upgrade of an ocean view, but you only had the view if you were sitting in the bay window and looking out to the side. I would have called it a "limited" or "partial" view to be correct. I would not have paid the extra to stay in Room 107 for this reason.

The best thing was the huge spa bathtub for 2. Loved that there was plenty of hot water and the room was quite comfortable. There was a gale howing, the waves were 25 -30 ft but our room was nice and quiet. The check-in was weird, with just a kiosk computer. The "person" was probably in the Philippines. You had to answer too many questions about a dog even though we didn't have a dog with us. Overall a 5 out of 5 for location and value.

It was a comfy cozy and clean room but they wanted to much for every thing. It was already 220$ on top of that wanted 60 non refundable fee for having my pet,, he didn't do anything to the place so I think I should get my refund back. Then they wanted 100 deposit fee. The onion reason I stayed there is for the breakfast that they take away way before I ever wake up. Also they take the coffee away way to early. Smh

This is my favorite place to stay in Crescent City. The rooms are very clean and the view is great. South Beach is an easy walk away. There are good restaurants that you can walk to nearby. I feel safe taking my dog out to use the bathroom at night. The staff is friendly and small so they remember repeat visitors like myself.

The property was very well maintained. They had a nice size patch of grass for our dog to use. The room was spacious and very clean. Housekeeping did an excellent job of maintaining the rooms. It was very weird to video chat the person at the checkout using the video kiosk. The attendant on the kiosk was very polite and friendly. Never experienced one of those before. I would stay again because it was nice a clean and well maintained.

Every time I come here I feel blessed. There is no place in the world where you can get this type of bargain. The Anchor Inn hotel emulates a time share in San Diego, just a little bit colder. Also the back entrance to the by room beach. The hedge needs to be trimmed a good foot or two...also I think sand stone walk way would look good. I like doing that type of work, if interested
